If you are on the dining plan, but are planning on more ADRs then you have credits for, is that going to be an issue when booking ADRs? Also if some of those ADRs are things that require prepayment(CRT and HDDR) if not on the dining plan will they be billed to the credit card automatically if I am over my number credits?

No problems at all, you can make as many ADR's as you'd like as they aren't tied to your package reservation, just let them know before you eat if you are using credits at that location.

I'm not sure about the pre-billing though, I would assume yes, however Ive never experienced it as I'm not sure

I booked HDDR online and it asked if I wanted to reserve with dining credits or to pay with a credit card. Normal ADRs won't be "holding" any dining credits.

We did CRT last February on DDP, we had to pre-pay then switch to DDP credits while there (and were told as much when we booked by phone). I did think our waitress was a bit snippy when she didn't think we had notified at the appropriate time and told us we should have notified them at the podium when we checked in :rolleyes2. She did correct the billing though and all was fine.

You'll be fine. There's no connection between the number of credits on the dining plan and the number of reservations you make so make as many reservations as you want. If you have the dining plan you can link it to the pre-paid reservations (CRT, 3 dinner shows) so that you don't have to prepay. The credits, however, won't be deducted from your dining plan until you actually dine at CRT or HDDR. However, even when you reserve CRT and HDDR with the dining plan credits you will have to give your credit card info for the no show guarantee.

At each restaurant you can tell the server if you are using the dining plan, OOP or a combination.

Don't know which one of us had the unusual experience, but I recently booked ADRs for CRT and specifically got the dining plan prior to deciding if we *really* wanted it so I could reserve CRT without paying in full for my party of 12! I was able to say I was on the DDP and no charge was made to our card, although they gave my cc # as a hold in case of a no show.

You do not even have any dining credits to pay with at the reservation stage. You are just letting the system know that you have the plan so you don't have to prepay for certain events. Other than that your ultimate method of payment (DDP or other method) is irrelevant at the reservation booking stage. You can book as many restaurant reservations as you want, regardless of how many DDP credits you will ultimately have.

When I made my ADR in April for CRT, it asked if you wanted to charge your CC or use DDP credits. I selected DDP so no charge has been made on my credit card. If you have more ADRs than credits, then you should view the menus and determine which one(s) you want to pay OOP. Then when you are there and making payment, you can let them know.
