book free dining & convert later to AP?

Wasn't sure what board to put this on. I have a ressie in Aug using my 40% code and another ressie for Nov using 40% code. If I decide to take the free dining instead in August and buy a 1 day MYW ticket to qualify, can I turn my 1 day ticket into an Annual Pass (since I'll be returning three months later) and still qualify for the free dining?

You can upgrade the 1 day base ticket to whatever you like at Check-In is my understanding. So you can convert that 1 day base ticket to an AP at check-in in August and then use the AP to get into the parks for your November stay with your 40% discount.
