Is there any way to get the DDP w/out doing a package? Can you book it separately?

Thanks.

No, not unless you are DVC members...I also think there may be something about Annual Passholders too, but most of us don't fit into those categories.

As far as I know, there are only two ways to get DDP. One is with a room/ticket/DDP package through CRO or AAA, and the other is through DVC Member Services when staying on DVC points.

I don't believe AP holders are eligible...unless it's changed recently.

Yes, it's available for annual passholders, but in my experience a lot of the CM's aren't familiar with it when you call, and have to search for the code. I'm booked that way, and it sure wasn't a short process! :) Some will even tell you it can't be done, but after you insist it can, they figure it out.

From mousesavers:

Walt Disney World Annual Passholder Package with Dining - As of late February 2008, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can purchase a special vacation package that includes either the standard Dining Plan or the Deluxe Dining Plan. The Dining Plans are not discounted with this package. The room rate on the Annual Passholder Package is not always discounted, but during certain times of year, a discount may be offered. This package does not include admission tickets, since obviously Annual Passholders don't need that component of a vacation package.

I was just there May 3rd-10th and was able to get both an AP room discount and the DxDDP. Even though I didn't have to buy a park ticket, it still had to be booked as a pkg with all of the pkg restrictions (paid by 45 days out, subject to change fees, etc). DVC members can also purchase the plan.

Does anyone know what the code is for the DDP/AP package for mid- late August? The AP rate code came out a few days ago, but no one can seem to find the code for AP with DDP.

Thanks for the correction.

I must have nodded off there for a few months! It's still 2008, right? :confused3 :rotfl2:

DCU is the code for 8/3-9/27 passhold rate plus DDP

Annual passholders can buy room/dining packages (no tickets) which are subject to the same deposit, payment and cancellation rules as any other package.

DVC members can add the dining plan to any reservation they make on points without a ticket purchase requirement.

Anyone else must buy a room/tickets package at a WDW resort.
