Boo to you, and Yo Ho Ho!! An Oct 2012 PTR. Updated 10/22!! Finally!!!!!

Hmmmm, maybe I should take a look at the calendars and see if anything's changed for my dates... seeing as how I just made my ADRs this morning.

If you really want to see Wishes and MSEP and that's your only day to do so, I'd probably deal with the crowds. Who knows? Maybe it won't be so bad! :thumbsup2

Love the costumes! I wonder if my DDs would like to do the Pirate League sometime...

I would agree that it's worth dealing with the crowds to see MSEP and Wishes! We did it on our December trip, and although it was packed, we were happy we made the decision to brave the crowds to see the parade and Wishes since there were so few nights it was available for us to see.

The costumes ideas look great!!!

Thanks, and yeah I agree...we will probably be sticking to our schedule and brave the crowds.

We did the PL in 2009 when they first opened and they loved it! Stitch got the empress package and we bought her the matching costume for her "big" gift that trip, and Rapunzel surprised us with her choice. She was always afraid of EVERYTHING back then, but she chose the scariest face there!

Okay, I had a revelation today...I know how to fill the next approximate 26 weeks of waiting!

Week one: A
Alice in Wonderland

Thanks....I think I am going to fill the in between time with lists of things we want to try for the first time (that list gets shorter and shorter with each visit) and things that we MUST do because we just can't live without them;) and maybe even a list or two of things we usually avoid and the reasons why. They won't be as organized as the alphabet list, but they will kill some time!

I just saw the hours for Nov last week on the TA site and they have wrecked my plans too. LOL! Well not really, but things are changed up a bit so I really need to sit down and figure out where to eat and when...and make a game plan. You are so far ahead of me in planning.

Well, as you know, don't get comfortable with these hours either! They will probably change like the week before you go!!:headache: Drives me crazy!!:crazy2: Happy planning Jen!!:surfweb:

It's ADR day!!!

Well, it would have been if we stayed on property. So, sadly it's only one ADR today. But I am happy to say that I got EXACTLY what I wanted for this one ADR!:thumbsup2 Now, let's hope my luck carries for the next 9 days!;)pixiedust:

We had originally planned to have dinner at Raglan Rd on our arrival day(as per our tradition), then we switched it to our down day so we could have a more relaxed arrival day. Then we decided to do the Spirit of Aloha on our down day and moved Raglan Rd back to our arrival day. THEN...we decided to skip Spirit of Aloha because it's so expensive and put Raglan Rd back to our down day. But, I can't get past having dinner at Raglan Rd on our arrival day. It's so important to continue traditions, especially when you don't have too many like our family.

So this morning I booked Raglan Rd for 6:45 on our arrival day!:cool1: I know it will make the girls happy to get back on track with this tradition. You may recall that we missed this in Jan when we found bed bugs in our original room. By the time we got a new room and checked it out, we had missed our ADR.:headache::sad1: So now, back on track!

If I can talk Ferb into spending some of our bonus on Spirit of Aloha, then we will book that for our down day. Otherwise it will be probably dinner in our room, might cook steaks on the grills they have at WBC.

Right now there is some debate regarding DHS and their posted hours for Oct 23rd and 25th. The TA calendar has listed DHS closing at 6 on the 23rd but with Fantasmic playing at 7:30, and closing at 8 on the 25th with Fanstasmic at 7:30. However, people are being told they can't book Fantasmic dining on the 25th, but they CAN on the 23rd. Hopefully this will get cleared up soon for everyone trying to plan their park days and dining for this week. This affects us only indirectly. We are planning on going to DHS on the 24th, this was SUPPOSED to be a best day for DHS, but if these early closings are correct I suspect our best day will be best no longer. Not too worried, we'll deal, and we aren't changing our schedule at this point.

Another drama unfolding right now is about Epcot, specifically Test Track. According to the WDW website they are not re-opening Test Track until early Dec! I am sure that when it re-opens it will be amazing, but it's a shame it will be down for so long. We love this ride and we are bummed we will miss it. Thankfully, we already only had one Epcot day planned into our week, but this will make for some crazy lines at Soarin for sure.:sad2:

That's all for now. I will be back tomorrow to post on my efforts for an ADR at MK!

Yay for making your ADR! And good luck with the rest of them! :thumbsup2

I am so excited to try Raglan Road. We booked an early dinner (I think it's a 3:30)... do you know when the entertainment starts? Do they have it all day or just during the evening hours?

I want to say it starts around 7-7:30. It's too late for us since we need to be in bed and sleeping to make it to rope drop the next day at MK. But I figure we can see the first set maybe, then leave? We'll see. But sadly, with a 3:30 ADR you will miss it. Here is the website for Raglan Rd:
http://www.raglanroad.com/

I'm pretty sure they have the entertainment schedule posted on there.

Thanks for the link... I'll go check it out, even though it looks like we'll miss it this time around. But good to have the info for next time! :thumbsup2

We could move dinner back a bit, but it's scheduled for the night we're going to MNSSHP. And I want to get over to the party as soon as we can... so "dinner" at 3:30 it is!

That whole Test Track thing bums me out. I haven't even had the courage to tell DS yet :(

Yay for your first ADR! We're going to do Raglan Road for the first time on this trip, I can't wait to try the bread pudding!:cloud9:

I'm really bummed about Test Track. DS won't be tall enough to ride it quite yet, but that's where we were doing his Disney Growth Chart. Hopefully the height marker is still out.

We haven't told the girls yet either...so hoping that it somehow ends up being incorrect info. They are notorious for misinformation, but usually not to our benefit.

Totally need to check it out some time! Maybe even by having a drink at the bar attached outside, you can probably hear the music!

It looked like the whole area was blocked off with a huge wall. I saw the video of those stupid singers they have there and it looked totally enclosed. Bummer.

I don't know what's going on here but it won't let me write that in caps?:confused3

Anyways, moving on....I got up early to make this reservation because last night we let the girls decide where to eat on our first MK day. We gave them a few choices:

1900 Park Faire
Chef Mickey's
Kona
O'hana
The Plaza

And they chose....O'hana!!

Great, not an easy one to get for a family staying off site and not being able to take advantage of the 180+10 rule. So, bright and early I got up and for the past 4 hours I have been stalking the WDW dining website and re-dialing the 407-WDW-Dine number until I finally could get through! The bad news was the system was down for maintenance. The good news was no one else could get through either. The website was still down as I type this...hopefully it will be up soon. Thankfully I wasn't relying on the website because they got up and running through the phones first. So....what did we get?

Oct 23 at 6:55!! Perfect timing because we will be spending the day at MK and it closes to the general public at 7. We will be ready to leave and be relaxing over dinner by this time. Maybe, depending on how we are feeling, we might decide to take a tour of the Monorail resorts. It's something people always talk about doing and we've never done.

All in all, so far so good for our ADR luck. Tomorrow it's DHS! A little more of this couldn't hurt....pixiedust:

Yay for getting 'Ohana!

I like your idea of touring the monorail resorts after dinner. If you time it right, maybe you could watch HalloWishes from the GF or Poly beaches! :thumbsup2

Shut up! We also have a 6:30 ADR at Ohana that night!!!

We're planning on watching EWP and Hallowishes after dinner from the beach if we last that long.
