Well,

What a weekend that was – couldn’t put a foot wrong.

It all started on Saturday really. We went to Alison’s “Family” Christmas bash during the day, food, drink pressies etc – but I decided not to drink as we had a Quiz Night later on in the evening.

So, we wnet to the Quiz Night as team “we’re only here for the beer” – but I was “persuaded” not to drink so that I could help in answering some of the more “trivial” questions.

2 litres of Coke later and WE WON! – by 1 point!

We all received a bottle of wine each and I played “catch-up” when we got home – LOL

So, Sunday was Christmas Fayre at the girls Primary School. Alison was detailed to work in the kitchen on refreshments etc and I took the DDs round to buy sundry rubbish, cuddly toys and bits they had made throughout the year.

Suddenly – PANIC!

The school caretaker, who was due to do a 2-hour stint as Santa had failed to show – and the queue for Santa was growing by the minute.

Santa’s helpers tried to get other people to do it but no luck and they thought they might have to shut Santa’s Grotto after all.

DDs came running up to me to get in touch with Alison for an urgent message.

So, Alison put me on the spot and I agreed to do it!

It certainly put me in the “Christmas Spirit”.

So, you've had Santa practise Shaun:smooth: What are you doing on December 19th? ;)

Sounds like a great weekend, Shaun! ;)

Does that earn you enough Brownie points to get you through the rest of the year?

What a great story Shaun - er.........sorry......... Santa :D :D :D

Now - we need to know, did you wear the usual Red and White or were you allowed to wear one of your 'louder' creations? :D :D :D

Congrats on winning the quiz night too.

Well done :) ! I think it's great that you stood in for the caretaker! How's your Yo Ho Ho coming on? This Christmas the school, next year..... Debenhams :teeth: ?

Well done Shaun, it's a great way to enjoy the magic of Christmas isn't it?

I did the job at our Nursery School and Town Hall for a couple of years when our Julie was little (didn't need the paddin ,but some of the elves were taller than uz).
We worried Julie would recoginise uz and spoil the Santa myth. She didn't, but one of her little playmates asked her "how come that Santa has your Dad's voice?"

What are you doing on December 19th?

I'd love to come up and do this - how are you fixed for "expenses" ?

LOL
