Have you ever had a pain in your toenail? 11/15
Well that's what kept me awake that night. It was a sharp shooting pain about every 5 minutes. My good night's sleep didn't happen.
I hauled my body out of bed late the next morning and headed to Epcot's Food & Wine Festival. Got there about 10am and since WS wasn't open yet I headed to the single line at Test Track. That ride is good for a diversion but if it left tomorrow I wouldn't be heartbroken.
I started off the food fest at the Scandinavian booth with the gravlax then continued on to South Africa (durban spiced chicken), Spain (octopus & potato salad), Chile (chickpea & bacon pie), Japan (golden shrimp), France (escargo), Southeast Asia (spicy meatballs), Canada (cheddar cheese soup), Australia (shrimp on the barbie), Florida (grouper cake), Mexico (chicken & chorizo quesadilla). I had room for all that because I had skipped breakfast that morning. Most of the items were edible. I really liked the south african chicken. Wasn't that crazy about the cheddar cheese soup even though I know it is a favorite of many. And I can now add escargot to my list of new foods tried and disliked.
I left Epcot after that, the combination of a lot of walking and lack of sleep is taking its toll. So I went back and spent a 1/2 hour in the hot tub at the hotel and took a nap.
I returned to Epcot later and took in all the shows in the Land pavillion, including using a fast pass to the Land boat ride. I also went back to the imagination ride. I love that song and figment.
I left Epcot and went to Old Town for supper and to waste some time. Watched some of the fools go up in the "slingshot ride" there. I guess it must be fun for them and maybe in my youth I would have considered it. No wait, I don't think so. I need something besides a couple elastic cords holding my ride vehicle in place.
I'm picking up hubby at the airport at midnight.
Next: Sea World under water.
