Hello everyone!

We just dropped our OKW reservation (to save our DVC points for another trip) to rent our first offsite hotel suite at Bonnet Creek.

HELP!

Because they are so close, and I am used to driving around Disney property from OKW I'm not worried about that aspect, but I am worried about being offsite in general in a non-Disney owned property. All the site links I can find for Bonnet Creek tell me about Fairfield resorts / other properties / timeshare links, etc... What I need is info on Bonnet Creek. The links allude to child activities, a pool, onsite restaurant, but NO INFO. I've searched these boards, but all I got was a relatively new bus list. Don't need that. The gentleman we are renting from could probably get us the info, but I love these boards and I think we'll get a more (unbiased) review.

We are keeping all our ADRs including the childcare at VWL (our home resort). Between DVC and being AP holders, we aren't worried about parking onsite.

Am I worrying over nothing? Will we be so happy in Bonnet Creek that we won't need our ADRs? Will our then 6 year old like the pool (she's part fish) and will I be OK with the level of cleanliness and safety?

Thank In advance!

Deborah

We will be staying there in May 2007. All of the pictures I have seen make the resort look amazing. Our boys are also part fish and they can't wait to try out the lazy river, the zero entry, and the sprinkler playground. I am sure you will have a fabulous time!

We toured Bonnet Creek in June and thought it was very nice. The thing we didn't like about it was that the cost was almost as high as DVC, without the perks.

A couple of things to remember. In June there wasn't really any dining at all on property except for a snack bar.

Also, they really push that they can get you anywhere on Disney property. They do this by getting you to a theme park and then count on you using Disney transportation. The transportation was VERY limited when we were there in June, I've heard it may have been improved since.

I've stayed at both Old Key West and Bonnett Creek (and own both DVC and FF but not OKW or BC). Based on my last trip (stayed at both resorts) our BC was cleaner than my OKW unit (a lot of this could be that BC is much newer). We felt safe at both. Pools are different, but very nice at both. BC units are bigger. OKW grounds are nicer. While the furnishings of BC are more upscale, I like the laid back feeling of OKW better. Cable is better at BC. BC is still under construction and while they do have onsite dining, it is very limited. OKW definately wins on this one. Both resorts are very nice, but very different.

We like both resorts and just stay at whichever resort has the unit available that we want when we are going. Have fun.

Hey there, We stayed there in Jan. And are staying again Next month. ITS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It new, so its so clean and pretty. The rooms are amazing. THe patio's are HUGE. And you can see Epcot from your balcony if you are on the right side, and can see the fireworks at night. I will see if I can find the pics I took of it, Um, I took about 50 I think! LOL
I HIGHLEY reccomend it. Its beautiful!

We returned from BC is Sept. We are OKW & FF owners. Decor is more upscale at BC but it also has a different feel than OKW. The pool & lazy river are the best. Our kids even skipped park days for them. We were in unit three facing the lake, top floor. Got rained out of Illuminations, went back opened the curtains & couldn't have had a better view. It was awesome. Dining appeared to be only counter type choices(burgers, hot dog, etc...). They will have on site restaurants but I don't think they are open yet. Don't think you will be disappointed. FYI-DON"T do the presentation, they are very hard sell!

We were at Bonnet Creek from 11/1/06-11/15/06. We (family of 6, with 2 add ons) absolutely loved it. We were able to watch illuminations from our bedrooms every night. We own at Bonnet Creek and wouldn't have it any other way. The cost - in relation to DVC - may be close....but Fairfield is deeded property....meaning you own it forever. I'll be able to give them to my children.

My kids loved the pool, the game room, the activity center....everything! We always use our own transportation, so I can't comment on that aspect.

We own the equivalent of 2 separate timeshares at BC...I wish I could buy another 2 before BC is sold out. It's a wonderful property!

Hi everybody! For those of you who have gone, how far along is the construction? Also, is there a restruant inside the resort? And how is the mini-golf? How close is Publix to the resort? And how close is Downtown Disney? We are coming the 3rd week of June and cannot wait. I have heard amazing things about the resort. We are renting a van for the week. Any help would mean a lot. Happy New Year!

Mike
