My family, 6 adults and 3 kids, is planning a early Nov trip and were originally planning to stay on Disney property. My mom just recently bought into Wyndham timeshare and now we have the option to stay at Bonnet Creek or Lake Buena Vista Resort. We are having a hard time making a decision and still doing research.
If anyone has stayed at one or both, any pros, cons, or suggestions would be appreciated!:)

Location-wise, its hard to beat Bonnet Creek unless you want to be closer to non-Disney stuff. For example:

Bonnet Creek is surrounded by Disney, within the gates of Disney. It takes about 20 minutes or so to drive to Wal-Mart

LBV is surrounded by an outlet mall. It takes 5 minutes to drive to Wal-Mart and about 20 to drive to Disney.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom last year - there were 9 of us. There was plenty of room and the location was awesome ! Right by CBR. They have around 5-6 pools and 2 lazy rivers . We stayed in building 4 with a firework view , it was incredible! Just to be able to stand on balcony and watch the fireworks was amazing ! We used the lazy river almost everyday, both the kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed it. I also really enjoyed having the washer / dryer in our unit . If I were to stay offsite again , I would do it in a heartbeat.

Thanks, that helps. I didn't realize how far away Lake Buena Vista is from Disney. Sounds like Bonnet Creek will be a better fit for us. The pool and lazy river look great. :)

We have stayed at both LBV and Bonnet Creek. We enjoyed Bonnet Creek much more because of location and the size of the resort.

LBV
-had rooms that were a little more upgraded but the beds were very uncomfortable.
-Very close to Walmart and Drugstores
-Disney was a short drive took 10 minutes, really easy
- Really liked the Irish Pub on the Facility.
- Pirate ship pool was crowded
- was not finished 3 years ago, not sure if that has changed

BC
- Rooms were nice, but seemed a little smaller than LBV
- On Disney property, very short drive to Downtown Disney.
- Due to location, have to eat on property or fight Disney traffic to get to most restaurants
- Great View of Epcot
- Lots of pools to chose from!
- Kids Club, Grills and workout room

We stayed in LBV 3 years ago and BC last year. Will be going to BC again in 3 weeks for a longer stay since we enjoyed it so much.

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions.

Stayed at BC last year and loved it. We were in a 2 bedroom in tower 3 with a firework view. It was a newly updated room with granite countertops. Beautiful and alot of space. We used the lazy river and the kiddie pool. My daughters loved playing mini golf with Papa.
Going again next year with the family:-)
