I really need some advice! :worried: For our upcoming trip (2/21 - 3/2) we had been planning on staying at Bonnet Creek. We stayed there last year and looooved it! However, now all of this FP+/Magic Bands/On-site vs offsite stuff has me panicking. :scared1: For the same dates, since we're FL residents, I can get a family suite at ASMu for only $197 more than a 2bdrm at BC. I know BC will have a nicer room and (probably) a nicer resort. However, ASMu will be on site :snooty:. Plus, it will save us $120 in parking fees (so we'll only be saving $70 really). My question is, is it worth it to sacrifice the nicer, roomier suite at BC for the perks of being an on-site guest? I've never been concerned about staying on-site before, but with all the changes... Any advice? Please???

I live in Florida and I rent bonnet creek for half as much as the All Star Music suites even with a big discount. How much are you paying a night for both places?

What I would recommend you pick depends on how your family vacations. If you spend a good deal of time in your room and at the resort, and like to cook some meals and maybe do a load of laundry, I would pick Bonnet Creek.

If you get up and go the parks pretty much all day, I would pick the Disney resort.

The longer the trip, the more I would rather be at Bonnet Creek because the extra space is more relaxing. Plus they have hot tubs.

Anyway, I think you won't go wrong either way.

We just got back and I can tell you that without fast pass plus and the magic bands we would have been in trouble because the fast passes for the major attractions, mainly toy Story Mania, test Track, & Soarin, were out with in a few minutes after opening. I saw some pretty disappointed people because of it too. This alone would have me booking a Disney Resort until all of the dust settles and we know how things will be in the future.

By the way, I have always wanted to stay at Bonnet creek myself. It looks like an amazing place. :) Either way you will have a great time.

I've stayed at both places and prefer Bonnet Creek, but if I were going on your dates, I'd book ASMu. Maybe FP+ will be available to off-site guests by then, but maybe it won't. I wouldn't want to take the chance.

Following. So you can't get FP+ with just the my Disney experience app if you are staying offsite?

I agree with this!! I wouldn't take the chance!

I'm a huge fan of staying offsite; however, I agree you really need to stay onsite to guarantee access to FP plus. Also, since they are removing all legacy fastpass machines from AK next week, who knows if there will be any legacy fastpass by the time of your trip (my guess is that everything will be FP plus only by that point).

I would stay onsite. You will get the full Disney experience and have a great time of not that much more.

You're stay is quite long, so I guess you need more 'space'… ? If not, as having been to both BC and ASM, I prefer ASM… I'm not a huge fan of BC. Was quite messy there last stay. GL

We are in the same boat. Dd 13th birthday Christmas week and we are bringing a friend. So we booked two rooms at BC. I believe without FP+ it will be hectic but I will post our experience after Dec 27. Wish me luck!!!!!

I'm going in April and I'd never switch to a value from WBC. However, although we love our park time, we love our resort time, too. We're in the pools every day, enjoy sitting on the balcony at least a few evenings, and use the washer and dryer daily!!

FP+ isn't worth giving up those perks to me, but you may not care about those things.

Personally, we prefer the convenience of staying on site so I would pick the ASM Family Suite, especially given the Fast Pass+ situation.

We have stayed at all levels of Disney resorts from All Star Sports to GF RPC. We have also stayed off site in condos though not at Bonnet Creek. Although we have not stayed in a Family Suite I think they look quite comfortable for a family of your size. I would not pick that option with more than two adults as I think the fold outs are uncomfortable for adults. But they are fine for kids.
