Hi I am Disney Vet but have never booked off site, I have read everything I can get my planning crazed hands on...I still have a few questions.

1. I want to get the best price but need to book a 2-3 bedroom, for 10 days late Aug. will it be safe to wait to the 60 days? I have already got quotes, but would like to get it for a 100 a night. Can I wait till 90 to be a bit safer and get a better deal?

2. What is the ball park cost for taxis to the Disney parks?

3. The late check in does not work for my family can I get around that by booking an extra day before arrival so that we may check in the moment we arrrive?

4. If I can not do #3. Will BC hold our luggage so we can go to a park?

5. I have read a few posts where people booked and know what # room they want. How do they know this? Other than staying in it before, because I have seen a few first timers be very specific. Where is the info?

TIA:flower3: Love the DIS!

Let me start off by saying that I have never stayed here, nor have I ever made a trip to Disney. All of my knowledge is based off of what previous posters have said. I just spend the last couple of days going through the massive Bonnet thread so...here's what I've gathered. If I'm wrong, please, someone with more knowledge correct me!

There are some places, like Ken at vacationupgradges dot com that will book you upto 13 months out, and then RE-book you at the lower price if it's available. Then there is vacationstrategy dot com that will mostly quote you the lower-within-60-day price, no matter when you book (up to 10 months out, I believe) because of the way they run their business they are able to get you that lowest price. My suggestion would be to go with a place like this to get the best price, while feeling secure that you'll actually have a room!

3. The late check in does not work for my family can I get around that by booking an extra day before arrival so that we may check in the moment we arrrive?

4. If I can not do #3. Will BC hold our luggage so we can go to a park?

Yes! They will hold your luggage. There was someone who said that they once held her family's luggage for TWO WEEKS! I would suggest just dropping your luggage off instead of booking the extra day. Plus, while you wait you can grocery shop, hit the pools, and so on.

5. I have read a few posts where people booked and know what # room they want. How do they know this? Other than staying in it before, because I have seen a few first timers be very specific. Where is the info?

There is ALL sorts of info floating around. On YouTube there are videos of specific units, here on the boards there are people who share information about specific units that they have stayed in, and so on. People know, unfortunately, by wading through a BUNCH of information and slowly collecting where they'd like to stay.

I know that I will totally be looking into staying in building 6, because it's the newer building, with the 2 bedroom presidential suites. That's what I'm looking for.

Are you looking for a deluxe? Presidential? 2 bedroom? 3? Do you want a view of Fireworks? High floor? Low floor? By a pirate pool? Lazy river? Near the main building? Somewhere that has a garage to park in instead of "open" parking? Near an ice machine? Garbage chute? Elevator? Low noise level?

Those are some of the things to ask yourself so that you can be better assisted in a specific unit or building.

Hope I have helped some! :goodvibes

wyndham bonnet creek has free shuttles to the parks that run throughout the day.

I have a very similar question. If booked now through Ken Price, what are the chances of actually getting rebooked 60 days out for a trip in August? If we could get the 60 day out price then it just makes it so affordable it's just too good to pass up. If not, we would probably choose to just stay on site! I did get a price quote from Vacation Strategy but it was not as low as the 60 day rate through Ken Price.

We booked through 5starresorts, which is mentioned a few times in the massive thread. We are staying mid-May, for 7 nights in a 3bdrm deluxe for $795=$113/night. I had priced a 2bdrm with them also, because we weren't sure at the time who was traveling. The 2 bdrm was going to be $560=$80/night. I booked in early September for our May trip, so the prices may have changed since then.

The other companies/owners were a couple hundred dollars more. I'm hoping it's not too good to be true. :scared1: Their deposit/cancellation fees were more strict than the others. I was okay with that though, because I am going come hell or high water. ;)
