Bonnet Creek or Caribe Royale?

Am I crazy for even considering Caribe Royale? Bonnet Creek is cheaper, has more room and a kitchen. Of the two, which one is closer?

Good morning,
I represent Caribe Royale and Buena Vista Suites. Although we are just 1.5 miles from Disney, Bonnet Creek is actually located on a piece of property inside of Disney so they would be closer to the actual parks. We're a straight shot (literally) into Disney via a road that is not as heavily trafficked as the one through Downtown Disney.
Why should you choose Caribe Royale over Bonnet Creek? Each hotel is very different, so my suggestion is to decide what are the most important factors you need in a hotel. A benefit of Caribe Royale is that each and every room in our hotel is a suite. We have 1,218 one-bedroom suites and 120 two-bedroom villas. Also, you can park right in front of your tower so the walking to/from a car is minimal. We also provide free scheduled shuttles to all of the Disney parks and an evening shuttle to the Downtown Disney area. And we do not charge for self-parking, and we do not charge a resort fee. I believe that Bonnet Creek does charge a resort fee, which would of course affect the nightly rate you are paying.

We hope you decide to stay with us, but regardless of where you decide to stay, we want you to have a truly wonderful vacation in Orlando.

Warm regards,

PS - if you do decide to book Caribe Royale, please let me know so I can put some special touches on your reservation.

Wyndham Bonnet Creek has no resort fee. You must be thinking of the Hilton.

The Caribe is closer to I-Drive and shopping such as Super Walmart, while Bonnet Creek is right in the midst of Disney next door to the Caribbean Beach resort.

Hi, I don't have any advice, as I am currently trying to decide between CR and WBC. I have a reservation at CR for the end of August and was very happy with that until I started reading all of the Bonnet Creek posts. I have a family of 5 (kids are 18, 13, 9) and a 2 BR at Bonnet Creek would be much larger for us than the standard suite at CR....also the variety of pools and lazy rivers, etc....another thing is CR doesn't have a balcony which I really like to have...I like the fact that CR has houskeeping and is close to restaurants, grocery, etc, as we will have a car. I don't know what to do!! :confused3

If you have a car, getting to the store won't be a problem at either place.

I have not stayed at Caribe, but driven past it several times. I have looked at their rates, but I have always gotten a better price renting Bonnet Creek on eBay or elsewhere.

As you well know, renting is different that dealing with a hotel. Not everyone wants to deal with that.

I stayed at the Caribe Royale in '07 for a national DEC competition. The hotel is very nice, and accomodating to a bunch of college students. ;) The shuttles were reliable, and the hotel pool was very nice. I enjoyed the stay very much, and if I ever stay off-property again, it'll be on my short list.

I'm assuming you are talking about Wyndham Bonnet Creek? If so - WBC is closer. CR isn't that much farther - so distance from DW is not a huge deal, IMO.

It depends on what you are looking for in your accomodations. WBC has a full kitchen, balcony, jacuzzi, washer/dryer in your room - it's more homelike & most likely more square footage. Plus, at least 1/2 of the rooms have a view of Disney (Epcot). We enjoy seeing that big ball and the fireworks. WBC also has a lot more in terms of amenities - several pools, activities, a mini golf course, pool tables, etc.

CR is more of a traditional hotel - albeit it does have a nice pool with a good waterslide and a macaw. It's also closer to offsite food places and nearer to the Premium Outlet Malls.

Bonnet Creek is cheaper? I know which one I would pick :)

Thank you all so much for your help! I didn't realize that WBC is in the park. I still haven't decided but I am getting closer. WBC hasIf Caribe Royale had free breakfast, then we would probably stay there. The kitchen and fireworks view is calling me though.

Hmmmmm.
