Bonnet Creek, anyone?

I know it's not an official Disney Property, but it's right there! Some friends of ours are offering us their timeshare, yippee! They can get us at either the Bonnet Creek or Star Island, and I would love to stay as close to WDW as possible, so Bonnet Creek works for me.

I'd love to hear what you all think of it, anyone who is in the know.

Bonnet Creek is very nice. Definitely go for it. I have stayed in the 2 and 4 bedroom.

Definitely take Bonnet Creek. They are both owned by Wyndham and Bonnet Creek is their "premier" property.

Star Island is not a Wyndham managed property.

I stayed at the Wyndham property in March. My DS and DBIL have a time share and I came along. We had a 3 bedroom condo and it was nicely decorated, very clean and had 4 TV's

It is literally just minutes from any WDW park and we could see Epcot and MK fireworks from our balcony.

I'm going back to WDW in Oct, but they didn't have any units available for rent when I checked so I'm staying at Windsor Hills this time. Can't wait!

Star Island is not a Wyndham managed property.

No, it is not Wyndham-managed, but dozens and dozens of the units there were sold by Fairfield (now Wyndham), and are now part the Wyndham FairShare Plus system.

There are four Orlando resorts that have units in FairShare Plus: Bonnet Creek, Star Island, Cypress Palms, and Orlando Intl. Resort Club. All of them have significant numbers of units in the program; OIRC is probably the smallest.

We stayed at Bonnet Creek at Christmas. Even with the traffic during that time, it was very easy to get to the parks. You are right next to the Carribean Beach Resort and close to DTD, Epcot and MGM. MK's not a bad drive at all. The shuttle system works very well too. The rooms were huge and the amenities were very nice. We love Bonnet Creek!

We just got home from a week at Bonnet Creek in a 2 BR. It was lovely, with lots of amenities and activities.
