I told my husband I wanted to book our vacation in Bonnet Creek this year and his only question was -Do they have wireless in the rooms? He's a computer person and is totally lost without his wireless connection.
But I have another question. We have two teenage sons. We have been staying at Vistana Resort the last couple of trips and have always enjoyed it but this year our spring break falls at Easter week and the prices are too high. Do you think Bonnet Creek is a good place for teenage boys? Do they have a basketball court? Do they have activities teenagers enjoy? Thanks for your help.

There are three resorts; the Wyndham time shares, Hilton Hotel and the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel, which one are you referring to?

Sorry-I did not realize there were three. This would be the Bonnet Creeek timeshares. Thanks.

yes, there is free wireless at BC. I don't think the hotels are open yet, at least as of Nov 08 they weren't.

I was under the impression that access at Bonnet Creek was wired, not wireless. But, I believe it is free.

I think it's great for teens! :thumbsup2 Don't recall seeing a B-ball court. But...

The main pool area has a floating river and the other has a pool slide (saw teens enjoying both), indoor pool tables, outdoor ping pong tables, sand volleyball, putt-putt golf, Wii interactive games, computer library - 4 PCs, always busy, often with teens...

The organized activities include Karaoke, Teen Rockband, Teen Soda Mixer, Flag Football on the lawn, Game Show Showdown and Time Warp Trivia, plus Make Your Own Sundaes or Root Beer Floats and there's a free shuttle to Downtown Disney. Plenty for a fun vacation for teens. :)

Hello! We just got back from Bonnet Creek a couple of days ago and they do provide ethernet cords and it is free (and was very easy to connect) but as stated above it's not wireless. I had my personal laptop and my work laptop with me and was only able to connect with my personal one (probably a sign I should not have been working on vacation!).

I often bring a travel wireless router---about the size of a deck of cards---for hotel/resort use. They're quite inexpensive, and very convenient.

When we were there, the internet was somewhat lacking. I'm not sure they planned well for the amount of usage it's getting. They have four computers in the computer center, and we were barely able to get a connection on them (when we were able to at all). And my mother saw people at the desk with laptops in their hand complaining.

That was the only flaw we found with our stay, and it could have been just a fluke during the week we were there.

Just got back yesterday. They have free wired internet in the rooms. HOWEVER, we were able to connect on our ITOUCH wirelessly in the lobby of our building. Saw other people using their laptops as well, so shouldn't be a problem.

Hope this helps!
