Hi!

Can anybody tell me if 1/2 a Bonine tablet is safe for kids? We are heading out tomorrow morning!

Ask the pharmacist, they told me the dosing for children.

Have a great time :goodvibes

Oh I just thought someone here may have had experience with it. Really really windy here today making me a little nervous about tomorrow.

I've got both versions of Bonine here, the adult one is Meclizine HCI 25 mg., the kids one is Cyclizine HCI 25 mg. The adult one says not to be given to kids under 12, that would explain why the formula is different...

Gosh, really a question for the pediatrician.

I found this online:

Usual Pediatric Dose for Motion Sickness:
13 to 18 years: 50 mg orally up to 4 times a day.
6 to 12 years: 25 mg orally up to 3 times a day.

Cyclizine is NOT the same as Bonine (meclizine), The dosages for Cyclizine are not the same as Bonine!!!!!!!!!!! Please do not use the above dosages if you have purchased Bonine.

I agree. When I clicked on the link for kids dosages (when I searched for Bonine for kids), it took me to this information. That page does say it's the dosages for Cyclizine. Not the adult Bonine. Sorry, it wasn't very clear.

They have dramamine (sp?) For Kids. It may make them a little sleepy but at least you know the dosage and its made for kids.
