Bongo's..Opinions???

We WERE considering Bongo's, however, I've read some horrible reviews at other sites... your opinion will be appreciated.

If you do a search on these boards you'll find some threads on Bongos.

I suggest you look at the menu and if it appeals to you, give it a try. Everyone's taste is different, so don't worry about what other people say!

I never understood all of the negative reviews. My wife and I have eaten at Bongos twice and loved it both times. This is the only Cuban restaurant I have ever been to so I guess I had no high expectations. The service was outstanding both times. The food was also very, very good. This restaurant also serves some of the best coffee in WDW.

I've gone to many Cuban restaurants since I grew up near Tampa, and we really enjoy Bongos. The food is actually fairly authentic, the Cuban sandwiches and medianoches are great, and they even have Chino Cubano food - what a great nod towards authenticity, because of the many Chinese in Cuba and many Chino Cubano restaurants.

The only reason we don't go more often is because they don't take DDE.

We really liked Bongo's too, and my bf is actually sad that this reastaurant is not on the dining plan The plantains were amazing!!!!
