I have heard mixed reviews about this restaurant, and I am having mixed emotions now. I enjoy Cuban food, and am also a NUT for that most lovely drink, the MOJITO! :worship:
I would like to see pictures of the food and the drink at this place. I have looked, and have had no luck in any of the other threads to find this info.
So, please, if anyone out there has some pix and info to share, please do so.

Forgive me if I am incorrect, but when I walked by Bongo's last time we were there, I took a quick glance at the menu posted out front....Now, was I just dreaming it,:cloud9: or did I see under their "DRINKS" section, that they offered a pitcher of Mojitos? :scared1: That's completely AWESOME!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! :hippie:

Sorry I don' have any pics I could show you but I just wanted to chime in with my opinion of Bongos.

Hand on heart I can honestly say the meal my husband and I had here was the worst meal I have ever had..................anywhere!!

Yes it was that bad. The food was cold, tasteless and undercooked.
I love cuban food and I was really looking forward to this meal but it was blah!!
I would compare the food with your local supermarker frozen stuff.

I was so disappointed that I complained to the waiter and he refunded the meal. We gave him a great tip, I had no problems with the service, he couldn't have been more aplogetic.

We were seated downstairs and the place was really busy, it was a saturday night and there was a band playing. It's obviously popular as it was packed and people were in line waiting to be seated.

There are so many great restaurants at Disney and any of them would be better than Bongo's.............sorry!!

I haven't been there for probably about 10 yrs....but when I was there I enjoyed the food alot. I actually was planning on going again this trip. Anyone else have any recent reviews?

Yeah, please anyone? I feel bad that some reviews are not so favorable. That is a bit discouraging when you are looking forward to going.

I am thinking of just limiting it to a bar visit and having at least a Mojito...anybody ever have their Mojitos by the pitcher? I know one fella said his was too strong, but anyone else? Pictures of their offerings? People seem not to have this info to share...man, was the overall experience THAT bad for most?

I really enjoyed the Latin Quarter restaurant on The Citywalk at Universal...I was hoping this would be similar.

If you are familiar with authentic Cuban food than you may not like it. Not to say the food is bad, but having family Miami and frequently eat traditionally prepared Cuban dishes, I was disappointed. The others in our party loved it though.

If you want authentic Cuban food that's always good, take a trip to Miami during your trip and visit Versailles.
