I understand that the Bonfire is on Disney lake, but is the fireworks display there as well ?

Yes it is. The best place to see it all from is Sequoia Lodge - it's all done over the other side of the lake from there.

Thanks Becky so do you need tickets to get into the village?
The Explorers hotel is looking like the best option for us and I'm trying to cost up the trip, I'm thinking if we arrive on the 10th, we could spend the afternoon at the hotel and just go into the resort to watch the display, then I would only need 3 day hopper tickets for the remaining days. :)

I don't think you need a ticket for the bonfire spectacular. I did hear that the Village is very crowded when it's on, but I know for a fact that there is hardly a soul once you get up to the Newport Bay end of the lake. If you get the bus in from the Explorers, it might then be worth hopping on to the Newport Bay bus and approach from that end!!!

When do they do the Bonfire Spectacular? My ticket from Leger says that I'm booked on the Bonfire Spectacular but it's for November 9th so I assumed it would be the Xmas stuff at that point. I'd hoped to finally see Fantillusion!

Hi Nik, the last Bonfire spectacular is on the 10th Nov and the Christmas season starts on the 11th. :goodvibes

In relation to the Bonfire Spectacular..what date does it start. We are going for Halloween on 31st and it would be great to catch the Bonfire party as the same time...we will probably be leaving on the 3rd or 4th though, so if it doesn't start until the 5th we won't be able to make it.

What sort of time would I need to be there [and where would I need to be] to get a good view of the fireworks? I hadn't expected them to be on when I went.

Great news Nik. It is a nice surprise when you find out something else will be on while you are there :)

I think that it starts at about 8.30. If it's in the same place as last time, then the Sequoia Lodge side is the best place to see it from. If you are leave the park round about closing time, rather than battling through the Village which might be crowded, it would probably be better to get the shuttle back to SL and approach the lake through the hotel! Or even see if you can find a space on one of the public balconys. :)

i'm staying at the Sequoia so that might be an appropriate time to trot back to the hotel for a change of footwear!
