bonfire/christmas

hi all
righto, well im trying to get the best out of my extra trip in november that dh has agreed to!
so far, we are going back to cheyanne, and going for the bonfire..... BUT, am i right in that the bonfire spectacular runs from 3rd until 7th (fireworks on 3rd, 5th, 7th) and then xmas season starts on 8th?? would that mean, that we could see a bonfire display on 7th, and then on 8th in the park it would be all set up for xmas, and we wud get to see the xmas lights/parades etc and all the things they do for the xmas season???
if so - that wud be brilliant - fireworks and then into christmas would be amazing!!

also, what do they normally do for xmas, and does anyone know the possible park times for the 8th (we wud have to travel back on 8th, but were thinking we cud get a late - 10.30pm sort of time tunnel back, that we wud get to see everything, or is it likely to be open past 7pm sort of time?? any advice appreciated, as want to get the hotel booked asap - tunnel has to wait til my next load of clubcard vouchers

We've been before when bonfire moves into xmas spectacular. There is a slight transition period when not all the decs are up e.g. the hotels don't get done overnight but things are starting to go up in the park.

thanks ruth - wud they still run the xmas parade n stuff on 8th??? am just so excited that we might get to see sumthin of xmas parade, not fussed if its not all up, but just a bit to make it magical wud be great!!!

Hi,

Last year, some of the Christmas stuff didn't happen midweek through all of November (like the Minnie show, Fantillusion). Fantillusion was on at the weekends in November though.

However, from the first day of Christmas season, you will see the Christmas parade (which, if its like last year, is just the normal parade with some toy soldiers, reindeer dancers, and Santa in his sleigh tagged on the end). You will also see the park decorated for Christmas, you should see the "snow" on Main St (and if you're anything like me, you'll have to have a little weep of joy when you do see it ), you should see Mickeys Wonderland show, you should see all the characters dressed up in their Christmas finery, and you should see Christmas candleabration. Oh, plus Belles christmas village in Fantasyland, and Casey Jnrs character express all done up in Christmas finery too.

ooooo snow elaine - how magical!!
well, if we are there, it wud only be the 1st day of the christmas season - which is a saturday, so it cud mean that the fantillusion wud be on (wud LOVE to see that).
i am thinking that, for the 1st day of the xmas season being a saturday, they wud try and do most things, but then, is that my wishful thinking???
ooooooooooo all tingly thinkin bout christmas now, and we havent even had summer (unless i was sleeping and missed it??)

i am so thankful i found this board, u helped make a magical first family dlrp visit, and have now encouraged (lol - im blaming u all) another visit, and again im getting great advice & hints. my dh will be cuttin off my internet to this site soon

Last year I managed to actually see Hallowe'en, Bonfire, and Christmas all over the course of a week. (I wasn't at DLRP every day but took a few days holiday in the middle of the week and then went on weekend away from work)

I believe that the Saturday Hallowe'en decorations were still up, then it was bonfire midweek, and Christmas decorations were up on the following weekend.
