Bonefish Grill Question

Some time ago - while discussing Aulani merchandise and it's exclusivity Pete mentioned that an imagineer approached him outside of a Bonefish Grill while he was wearing an Aulani shirt that he purchased at Mickey's of Glendale. As an aside Pete was asked to try an alternate Bonefish Grill and see what he thought.

My Question for the podcast team - and especially for John, Kevin & Pete is this: Is there a difference in quality between locations? If so which location should I go to on my next visit?

So far my only experience with Bonefish was at a location that was not in Orlando. It was amazing - so much so that my landlubber husband not only ordered a dinner that once donned scales... he actually enjoyed it, and is excited to go back. So I need to be sure I don't take him to a 'lesser' location.

Help me be a good wife please!!! :worship:

Of the Bonefish Grills that I have tried, my personal favorite is the one in The Loop on Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee.

I have found better service, better food prep and a quieter, more enjoyable atmosphere.

Kevin, can you give us the address of this place. I don't know what The Loop is and other than knowing that Osceola Parkway runs through the "lower" portion of WDW I really don't know much else about it.

I'm pretty sure he means this one:

2699 W. Osceola Parkway
Kissimmee, FL 34741, United States
+1 407-931-1790

If you look it up on Google or Bing Maps you'll see why it is called the loop.

If you exit Disney property via the road from Animal Kingdom, Wide World of Sports and the side of pop Century.....you are on Osceola Parkway.

Head east on Osceola Parkway and keep going for about 5 -7 miles.

You will pass Gaylord Palms on your right and you will have to go through a toll booth ($2.50)

Eventually, you will see The Loop West and then The Loop on the left hand side.

Besides Bone Fish Grill...there is a Pei Wei, Abuelo's Mexican, BJ's Bar/Pub, Macaroni Grill, Chili's, Chipotle, Johnny Rockets and various fast food places in The Loop.

Across Osceola Parkway, there is a Perkins, Olive Garden and a Japanese Steakhouse.....all in front of, or next to Best Buy.

If you go through the traffic light on OP, there is a Mimi's Cafe and a Longhorn Steak House on the left. Across the street, on the right,(and in front of BJ's Warehouse), there is a Five Guys.

If you make a left at the traffic light on the OP and head north on John Young Parkway...about 1 mile up on the left, you will find Tijuana Flats (our favorite).

There are many other restaurants all around that area (the Hunter's Creek area), but there are too many to list.

Is this better Jeff? ;)

Very helpful Kevin - thank you! Will have to look into this for one of our future visits.

My family and I have been to three Bonefish Grill locations in Orlando and they are as follows.

1) 7830 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando , FL.

2) 3279 Daniels Road, Winter Garden, FL.

3) 2699 W. Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL.

Personally we like each of their locations and they are exactly the same, so we go to the one in the area were are closest to at that time. For example if we are at the Premium Outlets on International Drive then we would go to the one located on Sand Lake Road.

I dont agree with the fact that they are exactly the same.

I find the Bonefish Grill near the airport to draw a more business oriented clientle and to be overly crowded and overly noisy.

I find the waitstaff to be curt and I find the food to be less well prepared.

I find the Bonefish Grill on Sand Lake Road (in the DR phillips area) to be always crowded, with longer wait times.

If these things don't concern you, then you shouldn't have an issue.

We always go there early around 5:00 PM and have never waited for a table.

The most crowded one in Orlando we have been to is their location in Winter Garden, however that's also the smallest one of the locations I listed.

That's why I disagreed with what you said.

Not everyone wants to eat at 5:00pm.

After that, there is always a wait.

There is rarely a wait at The Loop location, regardless of the time you go.

You are right on about The Loop location. When my family and I were recently in WDW this past August/September I remember us going that one on a Saturday around 6:30 PM and I thought chances are there will be a wait. However when we walked in there wasn't a wait and they weren't even busy, so that was a nice surprise.

Thanks a lot, guys. Now I'm hungry for Bang Bang Shrimp!! I may not sleep tonight. :thumbsup2;)

PS - the Bonefish in Independence, Ohio is rarely crowded on a weeknight. Just sayin'... :rolleyes1

The one on US 41 here in Sarasota is a joy to behold.

Perfectly prepared food, an excellent waitstaff...

It's hard to believe it's a "chain", really. Some of the best seafood in town in a town brimming with excellent seafood restaurants.
