Bon Jovi!

Is it just me or does Jon Bon Jovi keep getting better looking w/ age?
I saw them back in 1986, fabulous show...enjoy!

KittieKat....Hope you had a great time at the concert!

That sure is alot of money for tickets! I remember way back when a friend and I saw Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Winger, and the Bullet Boys at Buckeye Lake and tickets only cost $40 each. I forget what year it was, but at that time Richie was dating Cher.

I also see you like Motley Crue. I have all their albums when they first came out, before the day of CD's. LOL!!! Now I'm really showing my age. My favorite one is the Shout At The Devil album. It folds out and has pictures of each of the band members. The good old days before they covered themselves in tattoos. When Vince was still thin and Mick was still healthy.

Let us know how it was!

Did you give Richie a kiss for me? I'll be seeing them Nov 26th. I can't wait!!

oh you are soooo lucky....they were the first concert i ever attended in high school...and what a concert it was!! They rock...and they are gorgeous!! Hope you have a great time!!

I. wish. :love2:

This is what I wrote in my livejournal, but censored, since this is a family board. See im a good girl. :)

Ah. im back. It was so much fun! So me and jess get there and are seats are decently good. we are on the floor just in the backish section of it. whatever its floor right? the only problem is that I am nearly a midget (5 foot) and cannot see behind normal sized people. So what did i have to do? well you know how folding chairs have that little foot ledge under the seat. Picture me doing a lunge in midair between 2 chairs, for o i dunno 2 or so hours. BURN. haha but atleast i could see. So yeah the show was amazing!!! They played all my favorite songs. And Richie and Jon looked soooo HOT.

These are the songs I remember them playing:

LAST MAN STANDING
YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME
BORN TO BE MY BABY
STORY OF MY LIFE
THE RADIO SAVED MY LIFE TONIGHT
HAVE A NICE DAY
LAST CIGARETTE
IT'S MY LIFE
SOMEDAY I'LL BE SATURDAY NIGHT
BED OF ROSES
BLAZE OF GLORY
LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME
BAD MEDICINE
RAISE YOUR HANDS
WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME
LIVIN' ON A PRAYER
WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE

They played a few i couldnt recognize since i dont know their newest album that well yet.

But yeah, and when Jon sang 'blaze of glory' all the lights went out and he went out and sang the song from the audience!! insane. I was jealous because all the girls in the audience got to touch him. lucky lucky girls.

The technical part of the show was really well put together, they had a jumbo screen that had really could picture quality so i could seeeee. midget.

Yeah, as i knew their would be, many many many old ppl. BUT way more classy old ppl than Velvet Revolver and Motley Crue. VR and MC was like white trash. BJ was like moms and dads. Fun stuff.

My favorite parts of the show, was A. when they sang 'Its my Life' it was really full of energy and super fun. Its also one of my favorite BJ songs. and B. when they sang 'Bad Medicine'. if you know what that song is about you know what im talking about. lets just say, Jon and Richie made some gestures, that were, um hot. :)

Good Good times. Ah. I love it.

If you have any specific questions id love to answer them. its late and im brainfarting. But thank you all for commenting.

Thank you, thank you for the pics of Bon Jovi! You made my night. I am so glad that you had such a great time! It sounds like it was a great concert! I still have a pair of pants that Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora (sp?) signed when I was in 9th grade!

I can't see them!! Were they removed or is it my computer???

:(

Sounds like you had a great time. Set list looks good, I just wish they would stop playing You give love and Prayer. Please, please tell me they got rid of the Bad Medicine/Shout encore.

I have to tell you I'm cracking up at your comment about classy old people, mostly moms & dads. I'm one of those old people :rotfl2: but I was young when I first started going to their shows.

Why would you EVER want for them to stop playing those songs!?! :confused3

haha yeahhhh classy old people. :teeth:

Personally, I associate more with white trash old people. They are my people. :wave2:

I am so jealous I wanted to see Bon Jovi so bad. He is coming to Dallas and I tried to get tickets and 5 minutes after sales started all that was left was the nose bleed section. One time I had half decent seat gave them up on ticketmaster and never got anything that good again. I would consider buying tickets from a broker but I would have to buy 4. Ever since my 2 DDs saw Bon Jovi on Crossroads with Sugarland on CMT they are big fans now too.
I bid on some seats during the auction but gave up realizing I needed to buy Christmas presents, airline tickets for a trip to Atlanta in February and tickets for a trip to Orlando in March. Just couldn't stretch the budget anymore. Maybe next time. :earsboy:

THANKS for the recap! Sounds like you had a great time...and a good workout! <lol>

I, too, will be one of those old"er" people...at 31, I don't think of myself as old"er"...but campared to YOU!! ;)

I've had tickets to see BJ THREE times and had to cancel...I am going this time NO MATTER WHAT!! And, if they don't play Prayer or Bad Name I will be very disappointed...I think they'll always have to play them because there will always be first timers, like me! :cool1:

I'm going to see them November 26 at Mohegan Sun.

Then I'm going to see them December 9 in Boston.

Then I'm going to see them December 10 in Boston.

Then my wife is officially not letting me out of the house for the next 2 months.

I understand why they play them, they are the classics, but I have been seeing them perform live on every tour since 1986. To me, personally, they are played out. They have such a huge catalog of songs and there are so many I would love to hear live, but I know they will always play the classics so I live with it. Hardship, I know :rotfl: Jon Bon Jovi could stand on stage and read the phone book and I would pay to see it.

I don't know if I'm trashy or classy LOL. Motley Crue was my all time favorite band in high school (and I still love them). I can't even count the number of times I have seen them either. So if the Crue crowd is trashy and the Jovi crowd is classy, I guess I fall in between
