I am about to make a PS for this restaurant (dinner) and I was hoping that some people who have eaten there before and enjoyed it, could tell me a little about their experience (atmosphere, what was good, etc.). Thanks for your responses.::MinnieMo

Here's a link to another thread on here asking the same question. We love Boma; lots of varitey and combinations fo flavors you don't get in any other restaurant on property (with the exception of Jiko, the sit-down restaurant next door).

Hi,

Love Boma's for dinner!!! The food is fresh & yummy! Lots of different favors to try! Enjoy!

We love Boma, and go on every trip!! There are so many wonderful flavors and something for everyone, even picky eatters. Save room for the desserts, they are so good and try at leat one of the soups. I have to watch myself because I could make a meal on the salads and soups. Have a great time and go very hungry!!::yes::

As stated earlier in another thread, It's worth the $$ and we thought the food was great. It's nice to try something new when your on vacation.

We weren't in love with it the first time we went. It had opened fairly recently and people did nothing but RAVE about this place, so I think our expectations were too high. We went back on our most recent trip and were happier with it than the first time. There is something for everybody at the buffet.

The atmosphere is okay. If you are in a larger table (more than 2 or 4) you will probably end up closer to the buffet. It is a big open area that is quite loud and bustling with all of the traffic heading to the buffet :p . Tables for 2 or 4 are a little more towards the windows. This area is a bit cozier, but cozy is not at all the way to describe the atmosphere there. This seems to be the general seating plan at Boma's, but of course there is no guarantee where you would end up. We didn't like our seat the first time - the seat tables for two at a long bench with tables jutting out and a chair on the other side. A little too close to your neighbors for us. We were surprised that you cannot see the animals out the window when we first went. We thought that would have been a nice touch for the restaurant, especially since AKL is all about the animals. A little surprising.

I would suggest maybe a drink in the lounge while you wait - the atmosphere is a little nicer there...

Enjoy your trip!

We LOVE Boma. Plan to arrive a bit earlier than your PS and be prepared to WAIT. It is very popular. You may have less of a wait if you go earlier or later than most people. There is a short article in the new Disney Magazine about the different buffets at WDW and one they highlight is Boma. It mentions the atmosphere, foods, flavors, deserts, etc.
