Boma???

My husband can be fairly judgmental when it comes to food, but he went in to Boma with an open yet fearful attitude. When I told him it was African inspired he gave me the "look". But I give him credit, he went through and looked at everything and basically tried everything EXCEPT what was on the kids area. And he really liked a lot of it. He fell head over heels in love with the Butternut Squash soup and I myself couldn't get enough of it. There was a great salmon dish, flank steak, fufu (which is basically mashed sweet potatoes), tasty salad, flat breads with dipping sauces, chicken . . . it was all pretty yummy! Try it for yourself, that's really the only way to decide. But try to go in without any preconceived notions and expectations and just SEE!

DW and I go to WDW several times a year and Boma is always one of our stops. I can live on their spare ribs alone. DW loves the veggies and grain dishes. We both love the soups and desserts. We were there last weekend with our grandson and he had lots to choose from on the kids buffet.
For us, eating a Boma is a no brainer. We love it.

If you have the time and inclination to go a little more gourmet, I highly recommend stepping across the hall to Jiko. Another great restaurant with lots of exciting tastes to discover.

Boma is an absolute YES!

Food is excellent. We have an ADR for Boma dinner in late August. Can't Wait!

I'm the pickiest eater I know, and I LOVED Boma. My DW had a medical condition that necessitated a special menu, and the chef could not have been more accommodating. It's a must for us.

Question for Boma experts: We're staying at AKL next week, and are thinking about doing breakfast one day (probably Thursday)... we don't have an ADR... do you think we'll need one? What might the wait be like without one?

You may have a bit of a wait, best bet is to call a day or two in advance and see if you can get an ADR when you know the definite day you want. I did this in January and it worked out fine.

We love the breakfast at Boma and the dinner was really nice as well with alot of different choices, agree the soups are wonderful

I love Boma, it's great to go there after an afternoon at AK. They have lots of interesting foods, and plenty of "normal" stuff as well. Some of my favorites are; butternut squash soup, creamy crab soup, and their prime rib.

Boma is great, we've done breakfast and dinner and loved both, especially dinner.

We love Boma, even my very picky niece and meat and potatoes DH found plenty they enjoyed.
