In March 2012, We've got Ressies for Dinner at Boma. We are both vegetarian(fish is OK). I started thinking that Tusker House (Lunch) might be good regarding a veg. meal.

What's your opinion / which one is "better" for vegetarians: Tusker House or Boma.

Thanks cyber-peeps!!!

Tusker is amazing for a vegetarian! We only did Boma breakfast so cannot compare the meals, but TH was fabulous.

I really have been wondering the same thing. I hate to spend $35+ for a meal at Boma. However, after I learned Tusker House was switching to character lunches :confused:and Boma is really limiiting their vegetarian choices, I have decided to try Sanaa instead! Naan bread and samosas sound like a great and less expensive choice!! :thumbsup2

Here's some info from a vegan about their recent experience at Boma:

Possible bad news for Boma fans:

No more fallafel or yellow curry with tofu. Chef Brian said they haven't had it since he's worked there, but he did make a decent effort to make me the curry (at least they still had tofu in the kitchen, but it wasn't featured in any buffet item).

He also told me the pita wasn't vegan but I think he was wrong.

Anyhow, with my two faves no longer on the menu, we won't be hitting Boma again this trip. There were only a few salad options and hot foods were limited to white rice, pasta w/o sauce, and chaka laka. Chef said none of the five soups were even vegetarian.

Hope I helped!

Hi, our daughter is a vegetarian, and we always get to Boma. I can't speak of specific menu items, but I do know that if you mention that you are a vegetarian when you are seated, the chef will come to your table to discuss specific restrictions that you may have, and walks you around the entire buffet, esplaining every option for you. My daughter is a teenager, and this experience really made her feel special. Have not gone to Tusker House, so I cant speak about that one. Good luck.

I think they're both fine and that maybe you should focus on location in this case.

I hope you enjoy whichever you choose.

:)
