Boma / Tusker House

I made an ADR for an early lunch at Tusker House. We are planning on staying at AK for the parade at 4 that day and I thought the best spot to grab some dinner would be the AKL at Boma. Reading some of the reviews and looking at menus, do you think they are too similar? Any other thoughts? I was considering trying to get an ADR at Yak and Yeti to try lunch or perhpas cancelling Boma (but I have always wanted to try it). I suppose I could do CS at AK but since I find that park to be super hot- I was thinking it might be nice to have a little sit down. BTW- i have two small ones with me so Jiko isn't it the cards (although I wish it were)

I haven't eaten at Tusker House, but I've heard their servers are proclaiming it "better than boma!" It amazes me they are allowed to bash another restuarant, so it will be interesting to see how long they keep that slogan.

I haven't eaten at the New Tusker House. Boma has a great buffet menu. There are plenty of choices for children. You also get to check the Animal Kingdom Lodge and see the animals on the savannahs.

We ate a full breakfast at our resort on our AK day. We didn't arrive at the park until about 1:30/2pm and stayed through the second loop of the parade, walked over to catch the final Nem show of the day. We then boarded a bus to AKL for our boma reservations. We had ice cream in the park to offset the hot day. There is so much food at Boma I wouldn't want to have a TS meal at any point during the day before my dinner there. Our breakfast was CS at our resort.

FWIW (For What Its Worth) we scheduled a stay at AKL for our 2008 visist and Boma is a definite do over. Chef Mickey's is a do over for my 6yo nephew.
