I haven't dined at any of the AKL table service restaurants. Which one should I choose for dinner? Only 2 adults in April.

They are all extremely different, we have been to them all. Definitely go to Jiko if th budget allows, it's a signature restaurant and is very good. Boma is a casual buffet with a lot of interesting choices. If you're a soup lover it's heaven. Sanaa is a casual restaurant, it gets great reviews. We weren't super impressed with Sanaa but we have similar takeout places like this near home. It's very pretty though and you can't go wrong with any. But Jiko is a whole different experience!

We had this dilemma recently. In the end we went for Boma. The recent Orlando Sentinel's Foodie Awards was the tipping point which places Boma as best African Restaurant in the Orlando area. As we want to experience authentic African cuisine it seemed like a good fit.

Romantic dinner? Jiko--excellent food, great service, upscale ambiance, great wine list
Casual dinner? Sanaa--very good food, reasonably priced, good service, and also good wine list. If
you go before dark (early dinner), chances are you'll see animals outside the floor to ceiling windows
Bang for buck dinner? Boma--solid food but lots of it, plenty of variety, still just a buffet in the end

I think this is an excellent assessment of the three restaurants and is one I agree with 100%... Jiko is one of my favorite restaurants in WDW and never miss it. Boma was also spot on; it's a good buffet (best in Disney), but when it's all said and done it is still a buffet with a focus on quantity as well.

I would go to either Boma or Sanaa before Jiko, but that is only because our last experience at Jiko was so bad. Boma is always consistent, Sanaa's food and atmosphere is good but not to everyone's taste, and Jiko we used to love but it made our do not return for a while list. Have a great time, AKL is our favorite hotel!
