Hi everyone!

We'll be staying at AKL this coming May (), and we're looking to probably eat at the resort before a night out at DTD. Which do you all recommend - Boma or Sanaa? We're on the dining plan, so Jiko is unfortunately out. TIA everyone! :worship:

We ate at Sanaa for lunch and dinner, and Boma for dinner this past February. I preferred Sanaa, but the entire rest of our family enthusiastically loved Boma, hands down! Therefore we cast one vote for Boma.

I voted for Boma - one of two restaurants we visit on every trip (the other being Cape May). Sanaa is one of our favorites though.

Oh gosh, you are asking me to vote b/w my 2 favorite restaurants!!! I LOVE the food at both but I picked Sanaa only b/c it has a better atmosphere and you can see the animals. If you asked my kids, they would say Boma. So there you go! You can't go wrong either way...

I love Sanaa
I like Boma

Boma is nice if you want a buffet to sample all the different foods. It will be more money, but it is a nice buffet.

I love the sustainable fish at Sanaa. My son loved the burger there. My husband had the tandori meal.

We loved the bread sampler appetizer with dipping sauces!

We ate at Boma and I felt it was overhyped. I was so excited to eat there, and what meat we did have as options was fatty and underseasoned...zebra domes did not live up to billing...and most of the stuff I liked were side dishes - like couscous (i.e. kind of a waste for the $). We have not dined at Sanaa, but I pushed my picky eater friend to go there back in Dec...she said it was AMAZING and they'd totally go back. Sanaa is on our list for last trip.

Vikinginmousears....what came with the steak? Was it covered in sauce? thanks!

It came with a mix of roasted potatoes and other veggies, these had the african type spice on them and I really didn't care for that taste. The steak itself didn't have a sauce, just a super grilled taste. It may have been marinated, but if so, it wasn't a strong flavor, just a wonderful taste of wood grilled steak.

I'd take Sanaa, of the two choices. It's my favorite 1TS meal at WDW, and I think they just do a better job in the kitchen over there. You get the animals outside the windows, and a menu that is a little more adventurous than normal for Disney.

Boma will have more variety, and some delicious soups, but it tends, in my experience, to be very loud and hectic. I think that the food quality is better at Sanaa, though.

Enjoy your AKL meal, whichever you choose. They have some of the best food on property out there.

Thanks for the great feedback, everyone! I thought that by asking this question it would become clear to my which restaurant to pick - but now I just want to eat at both!!! :rotfl: Everything sounds so delicious!!!!!! :thumbsup2
