Going to do Donald breakfast on our AK day...but would it be possible to do Boma or Ohana on one of our MK days for dinner????? if so which is best??? If Boma is best should I put it on our AK day......Thanks!:goodvibes

Hmm, both are actually my favorite dinner restaurants.

Ohana pros:
-Family style, you don't have to get up to get your food.
-Since you will be at MK, this will be a lot easier to get to. Just hop on the monorail.
-Amazing service and food
-Entertainment for kids

Boma pros:
-Buffet style, there's more choices, but you have to get up and go get it yourself.
-AKL is an amazing resort to walk around while waiting for a table, or after your meal.
-Amazing food and service

But I guess I would have to go with Boma.

Totally different foods.

In my opinion Ohana is better than Boma.

We love the choices of the meats at Ohana, love the sides and the dessert.
The restaurant does seem to be a slower service place, at least it has been our experiences. But we love the food so continue to endure a hour and half meal.

Boma we did NOT like. The foods were good, but not our tastes. They use sweet spices and fruits in everything. The meats were rubbed with them, tasted like a cinnamon crust on the beef and chicken.
All the sides and even the soups were sweet. To me everything tasted like a holiday dessert.
So this buffet is not for us.

I say go where you will enjoy the food.

If your in a mood for meat, I would go to Ohana. Boma has more selection plus Animal Kingdom is an awesome resort to make your dinner a night to remember. Enjoy your meal.:cool1::banana:

Boma is definately one of our favorites. I just like having all of the choices that Boma offers. O'hana used to be one of our favorites, but there have just been too many menu changes.

If you are going to be in the MK, then I would go to Ohana because its an easy ride on the monorail. Both are good for different reasons.

I like both but if I think 'Ohana is better. We don't usually do a lot of buffets but for a buffet Boma is good. 'Ohana appeals to everyone in our party whereas some don't like the spices used at Boma.

Thanks guys! I think we will try Ohana this time since we will be at MK and it will be easy to get to! and if you dont like it we dont have to go back...I would like to try everything once eventually.

I have been to both locations for dinner and I would personally choose Boma, because I liked their food offerings a lot more then Ohana. Plus at Boma you can get the food yourself, where as at Ohana you always need to ask your server for anything else you want to eat.

I'm not a big fan of dinner buffets, Boma is the only exception. The whole family loves it, we really enjoy trying the different types of African food. The soups, the salad dressings are all so fresh and original. Even if you aren't so adventuresome, there are equal amounts of typical American fare and childrens favorites available. We've taken many family and friends of all ages there and everyone has enjoyed it.

At one time I loved Ohana's but recently I think the quality of the food has declined. so I'm giving myself a break from it.

Glad to hear your reply! I literally just made an ADR for Boma! Can't wait to try it. (We have been to Ohana and wanted to try something else.)
