Hey DISers! We're leaving for our trip in 22 days!

We have our Boma reservation on a Saturday this time around. I had a question about the menu rotation and the desserts offered. Durign our trips two and three years ago, there was this alcoholic tiramisu (the alcohol cooks off:laughing:) that I loved. We dined at Boma on the same day of the week on both of those trips. Last year, we dined on a different evening, and this dessert was not there.

Does anyone know if this dessert is even at Boma anymore? Or if it is still there, will it be there on my evening? Thanks!

To be honest with you, we have been to Boma quite a few times and it always have found some differences in the menu on any given night. However, if anyone does know the menu rotation, I would be interested too!

FWIW, when we were there in June our server told us Boma has 4 different menus that they cycle through each week. No idea whether they stay the same week to week (like every Monday is #1, Tuesday is #2, etc).

If you do a search for them on Google they should come up. I think the days are Monday / Thursday, Tuesday / Friday, Wednesday / Saturday, and Sunday is random. I've been for each different roation, and honestly I think the desserts are mostly the same each time.

just so you know...the alcohol does not in fact "cook off" or evaporate before you eat it...this is an old wive's tale/urban legend/whatever (I read a chef's explanation one time - this notion was created when people wanted to excuse having alcohol in their food back in a time when alcohol consumption was very frowned upon.) Truth is you'd have to cook the dessert at very high heats for a very long time to "cook off" the alcohol - way longer & hotter than your average dessert bakes/cooks. And if you start checking recipes, most desserts with alcohol don't even get the alcohol cooked at all - it's often stirred in after the sauce is made or the cake is soaked in the liqueur after baking, etc.

I have noticed that all Disney desserts with alcohol are labeled as such, and often there is a version that is non-alcoholic.

By the way, the vanilla-rum sauce on Boma's dessert buffet (usually near the bread pudding) is DELISH! And definitely boozy, too.

Our only ADR for our first trip this Nov is for Boma on a Sunday! I've heard such good things about Boma, that I'm sure we'll enjoy it! Zebra domes are calling to me so as long as they're there every day--I'm good!

Sounds yummy! I'll have to check it out when we have our reservations if it will be there on a Monday!

i did see the rotation menu posted somewhere, but can't remeber where. maybe someone can help with this.

The zebra domes are always there. :cloud9: And if you like them so well, you can even get them in AK, I can't remember which stand had them, but they're there! :goodvibes

As for the OP, I found this and hope it's still the same since it's all I could find...

Next thing you'll be telling me is that my extracts have alcohol in them!
