We really would like to have dinner at AKL Boma but don't know how to get there after AK has closed. (Staying at POP) We are a family of 5 so I don't know how convenient a cab would be. Any ideas how much a cab would cost. I suppose we would take a cab back too.

I just remembered that we could transfer at DTD but that takes soooooo long. Any help???

Thanks

You can take a direct bus from any theme park...very easy. If you stay out late, after all the parks have closed, you could taxi one way or take a bus to DTD, then to POP, or some mix and match like that.

Boma is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
If AK was your transfer site and is closed , and you don't want to go to DTD to transfer, you could take the bus to MK or Epcot that's open later and then take the bus to AKL,then do it in reverse back to POP. depending on the season you're going you might have to go to DTD to transfer if it's late in the evening when your done. Boma is an excellent reataurant and worth the transfer hassles

We are staying at ASMo and it looks to be really close to AKL on the map. How hard is it to park at AKL? We love BOMA but couldn't stretch to AKL for the budget this time.

ANy ideas what the drive time/parking would be like to sneak over there for a meal?

Thanks!

That's my question, too.

If we take a bus from AKL to say, MK, and then transfer to our resort (in our case, POR), about how long will it take?

We've always had a car at WDW, but I am considering just using Magical Express and DIsney transportation

We used the bus to get to AKL, and transferred from CBR via MGM. Prob. took an hour.

We got a cab for the trip back to CBR. It was raining, and I did not want the hassle of DD. Around $11/with tip.

The transfer trips can take a long time 1hr plus....taxis are available in van sizes so 5 people could fit...I would imagine that it would be less then $20..You can drive a car to AKL and if you have a PS at Boma you would be allowed to park without too much difficulty...

A cab would cost around $10. You could also transfer at Epcot or MGM.

It's a five minute drive, as long as you have a PS you'll have no problem being allowed to park there, and the lots are convenient to the front entrance.

Thanks for the info! DH is worried about feeding ds food court food so now I've got another excuse to get to Boma. It'll be nice b/c we can go and watch the Wildebeasts graze while we're there. :)

Thanks!

Thanks so much for all of your replies :flower:

I think I am most concerned about taking a cab as we will not have a car. I am worried that it may be hard to find a cab for 5 people. Our ressies are for 7pm so most of the parks will be closed after dinner as it is Aug.

I really do appreciate your help to my question!!
