Boma for breakfast

What is Boma like for Breakfast? Is it African style foods or American? We have done dinner there last year. My DH wasn't too wild about it, but the kids and I loved it. Thanks

Boma is my families favorite for breakfast. There are lots of baked itesm (Danish, cinn rolls, crossants, banana bread, muffins, etc), oatmeal and grits and another type of hot cereal, waffles, bacon, fruit, and egg station with eggs made to order, toast, cold creals, and lots more,there is also a meat station with a carving person. I dont get any meat so I am unsure of what is there. There is also this delicious juice!! it is soooo good. DH also gets a pot of pressed coffee, he says it is the BEST!!!! There are some wonderful african dishes and many many traditional american dishes. I say GO, ti is wonderful . I think it is $$ but I really can't remember. My family likes to go to breakfast then we explore the hotel and see the animals and then we head over to AK for the day.

We ate at Boma for breakfast for our June trip. It was one of our favorite restaurants! Yes, they have some African breakfast dishes (different cooked grains, some breakfast-casserole-type stuff, and different breakfast meats). They also have plenty of American-style breakfast foods as well (made-to-order omelets, waffles, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cold cereal, etc.). BTW, the frunch is delicious! I'm going to try making it myself from the recipe off of AllEars, but I have to find mango juice first.

Boma is my new favorite breakfast spot! I would say 80% "american" selections and 20% african specialties. And I love the Frunch juice, too. My server asked my if I would like some in a to-go cup and I almost hugged her!
I will be taking my DH there for the first time. It's our departure day breakfast. You will find something for everyone.

Try the Mexican items area of your grocery store. Not the Taco Bell and El Paso stuff, the REAL Mexican items. They are usually in small cans. Maybe the Goya brand.

Boma breakfast rocks. It's perfect for a waterpark day when you need to gear up and fill up! I would agree with what's already been said, it's mostly American breakfast foods with some African themed creations. The special Boma juice, officially named "Frunch" is a mixture of tropical juices and it is heavenly. And they don't skimp on it, they are constantly refilling your glass! Plus you get that wonderful atmosphere of Boma. I think the brunch costs around $25. Boma doesn't serve lunch but starts serving dinner around 4:30pm. If you've never had dinner at Boma,well that's a whole other wonderful experience you must try!

I didn't think Boma was open for lunch, only breakfast and dinner?

I love Boma's dinner buffet, it's awesome! But I'm sure breakfast is great too.

Its not. We have lunch planned at LTT at 11:40, but our flight leaves at 5. So I am sure that with ME we will be leaving the hotel around one or two. I don't want to feel rushed and miss ME. As of right now unless something changes we are staying at AKL. So I thought it would be a lot easier to eat at Boma.

Gotcha! I am actually hoping that might change someday, because it would be so nice to have lunch there on an AK day.

Personally, I was disappointed by the lack of "African" food at Boma breakfast. I remember a couple oatmeal-like dishes (that tasted like oatmeal), some sort of egg and sausage dish, and the fruit punch. Pretty much everything else I would have found at the breakfast buffet down at the local Sizzler.

Great breakfast and glad I went. And, to be honest, I'm not sure exactly what they could have put out that would have met my expectations - breakfast food is pretty much breakfast food, no? But if you are looking for something different from standard breakfast fare, don't get your hopes up too much.
