I was last at DW 9 years ago. We really enjoyed Boma's dinner buffet. Is it still worth it?

Standard disclaimer: Worth it is in the eye of the beholder.

Boma has a wide assortment of foods. Some of them are really "different" and may not appeal to all those eating. Fortunately, there are also some regular items that those people won't go hungry. Consider your dining party's preferences when going to Boma.

It's not as unique as it used to be. The ribs are seasoned a little more towards typical where they used to be a bit more exotic.

But still very good and it's a must-do for me.

I was there this August and it was an interesting experience. The food was good but buffets are not really for me. I don't eat too much and neither does my company. I would recommend it if you are a big buffet eater. For someone with a modest appetite I think there are better options for the price.
That being said the decor is beautiful.

Easy to sum up. If Buffets are your thing you are not “picky” then Boma is easily the best quality Buffet or AYCTE at Disney. Boma price is about quality not experience. With that as above there is better quality without the quantity and or ability to try multiple things at plenty of TS with a lower price.

Wonderful for both breakfast and dinner. We go for one or the other, or for both on separate days, every year. Just make sure you don't schedule a fancy dinner somewhere that evening if you have the Broma breakfast.

I'd say it is definitely worth it. We were most recently there in July. The food is excellent, and the array of choices is very wide. There are standard menu items, and then there are choices that are a bit more exotic for us (we live in Michigan) and not easily obtainable here. It is nice to be able to choose a mix. Our family group usually has dinner at Boma once during a stay, and breakfast there once or twice.

Definitely worth it. My fav restaurant on property. The uniqueness and quality of the food make it a top selection.

‘18, ‘19, ‘22, ‘23, ‘23. Absolutely no decline in quality. Good as ever!

I even actually started enjoying the Zebra Domes now when I didn’t get the fuss before

In my family's opinion, the only buffet that is worth it.
And so many of the other buffet or AYCTE dinners in WDW resorts have characters, with a corresponding increase in the meal prices. Boma’s focus on quality foods with some African-inspired flavors for some of the offerings makes the prices easier to stomach (pun intended).

My family wasn't a fan of dinner. But that's just our opinion. I don't think we're very adventurous eaters. We did, however, LOVE breakfast... :)

We love the Boma dinner. We go every trip. Most recently was last month. The gluten free zebra domes are actually better than the regular ones. The base on those is made out of chocolate instead and just add a little something to them. The waitress brought extras out for us all to try and compare to the regular ones for out GF person.

So I like boma but it gets dropped from our rotation simply because we also love Tusker house. I aim to do the late breakfast Tusker house and previous times waiter encouraged us to try the lunch items as well. Getting breakfast and lunch menu items for price of breakfast at Tusker house makes it our go to character meal. Therefore we often find ourselves pushing Boma out for that option since the two buffets are too similar for us to justify both in one trip. That said if we drop Tusker house for some reason Boma would be our go to for breakfast or dinner each trip.

Definitely worth it. I couldn't believe that all those years I've been going. A few years back we decided to try it out and then it became our favorite. We always go either the first night if possible to basically get the vacation started the right way.
Breakfast is really good as well. Tried it the first time and will definitely go back again. I prefer the dinner more. The atmosphere at night just feels better.
