If you have a preference for one over the other, which do you prefer? I had in my mind that we just "had to do" Boma for dinner, but I'm having a hard time fitting it in so that it works well. I might be able to fit it better for Breakfast. What are your thoughts? Breakfast or dinner?

I would choose breakfast over dinner. We love Boma breakfast, it is our favourite breakfast at WDW. On our last trip we had breakfast at Boma about 10 times and dinner once. On our upcoming trip we are at WDW for 22 nights and we have 6 ADR's for Boma breakfast and no dinners (we have two ADR's for Jiko dinner though, it is so good).

So my vote is for breakfast as it's the best! :thumbsup2

I voted Dinner simply because there are a couple of dishes (and desserts) that I reeeeeallly enjoyed. However, breakfast there was also extremely good. I don't think you'll be disappointed either way.

*Edited to say* - If I couldn't fit it in for dinner, I would absolutely substitute a breakfast.

I agree with curseofcurves 100% on both counts. I prefer dinner for sure, but breakfast is nice too. But it's more of an excuse to see the resort than anything particularly special in and of itself. Some nice things (love the chakalaka), but mostly standard breakfast fare.

As PP stated, you can't go wrong with either, but I agree the breakfast is the best on property (although I love Cape May Cafe for breakfast as well!)

You can't go wrong with either. I would pick whichever one best fits into your schedule and you can get an ADR for.

I voted for dinner and am surprised by the initial results of the poll. I agree with everybody who wrote that Boma serves the best breakfast on Disney property. I don't think any restaurant even comes close. But the despite the numerous ethnic dishes dotting the buffet, I still view Boma's breakfast as, well, still breakfast.

The dinner menu is creative and unique, with foods not typically accessible to the average American. The soup bar alone is worth the price of the meal.

If you have somewhat adventurous eaters in your group and are looking for something different, I think Boma for dinner is a fabulous option. It ranks among my absolute favorite places on property.

I chose dinner only because we are trying it for the first time in September (which I am really excited about), my DH who is NOT an adventurous eater by all means, suggested going here on our AK day :cool1:. I know I want to try the breakfast someday, it will just have to be on a future trip :goodvibes

Boma dinner is the best meal on property IMO so that is what I would do. I've eaten at many African restaurants and the food at Boma is pretty tamed down so no adventure is required.

If you can only pick one, go for dinner. Plus you can make a night of it. Check out the night time resort activities, check out the resort and view the animals.

The breakfast and Dinner were both equally good!! I really liked breakfast because of all the options and the Jungle juice YUM! (I think that's what it was called. Dinner had great entrees and desserts!, I only picked dinner because of the Zebra Domes are all you can eat. :goodvibes

DINNER:thumbsup2

Just had dinner there on Sunday, We are a family with 2 picky-eaters, (I am one of them) and we all found something to eat. I ate stuff I would never have ordered off a menu.:lovestruc:lovestruc

The service was wonderful. Our server explained everything so well and gave us great recommendations.

DH thought it was amazing!!

I am glad you posted this! I have been to dinner many times but breakfast once! I am going with a few people that are new to disney in August and I am not sure what to book for them!!! I am not sure if they will like all the ethnic food. The way I see it is if they dont like it there is plenty other foods there in case. My vote I guess would be dinner! But breakfast is amazing there!!

Based on price and value, I would choose dinner hands-down.

The restaurant in general is great to experience. It is well decorated and has so many great choices for both breakfast and dinner. We've eaten dinner there roughly five times and can't get enough. The variety, quality, and taste can't be beat. I think that you can get breakfast offerings in many other restaurants, but some of the dishes that are served at dinner cannot be found elsewhere. So take advantage of it! Enjoy! :)

I've been to both several times, and prefer breakfast. Dinner is very loud and hectic by comparison. And I much prefer the looks inside the resturant in the sunlight to the lighting at night.

I would choose dinner. The soup bar is awesome and who can avoid all those wonderful desserts? We ate there by accident when it was the ONLY available restaurant on property when we tried for a last minute reservation, but we keep going back! You won't be disappointed.

Dinner selections were to sweet and cinnamonie if thats a word for me, Dont think that I would return for dinner, I heard the breakfast is good, but would only go if I was staying at the AKL or if I had my own car,but I would have to pick breakfast even though I have never been, I know that it cant be worst than dinner.
