Boma and the missing beans

A year ago I ate at Boma for the first time and I had these sticky black beans that had a sweet-sort-of-cinnamon taste. I mixed them with my rice and loved it. I went back this year and the beans were not there! Any idea what these beans were? Still had a great meal, but I missed my beans.

We didn't see these when we were at Boma's, but found that they were more than helpful when asking for recipes without the proper name. You could try emailing them for the recipe, just giving the description you gave here. They will probably be able to identify them for you - as well as tell you if they are no longer offered - or if they are just not offered on one of the nights' menu.

Good idea. I wish I had asked our server at the time... but I was sort of stupefied by a full day in the park, the beautiful décor of AKL, the great service and excellent food.

Got a reply back with the recipes of 4 great looking dishes, none of them are my beans. I emailed her back more details that my DW added when I told her about my search. Hope we find it, I'm starving! My next stop is to post the recipes she did send.
