Boma....1st time....MMMMMMM!!!

We ate at Boma this past Fri night with fellow DISers. It was wonderful, the food and the company!

As many have posted, first time, try a little bit of everything, then decide what you like best. Me, I liked everything that I tried.

Glad to hear it's still good! Last time we went was in 2002. We're going back in December and Boma is on our list since my mom will be joining us.

I am planning on Boma because the food selections look good but is there any access to the AKL animal viewing areas?

Boma is our fave and the only "must" restaurant on our list.
There is a small courtyard/viewing area at the far end of the AKL but I have never seen any animals. If I recall there is also a bridge that overlooks this area from inside (memory not so good anymore)

Boma is one of my favorite guilty indulgences (WAY too much food, but heaven help me, I love it!). Best of all, the menu changes enough to make it worth more than one visit each time.

Our favorite too!! Always eat too much. There are many viewing areas to walk around and view the animals. The best one is out by the pool.

Jimmy is driving so I'm writing for him. Our one and only time there was eating at Boma, so what he and the kids did was to walk straight from the entrance to the back of the lodge where there is a lot of glass. Go outside, there is a big stone patio, you'll see stone walls, walk around all the viewing areas that you can because they are all at different places. They saw zebras, giraffes and wildebeasts. Go about 30 minutes before your PS to have time to view the animals without rushing. We got there around 5:30pm and had plenty of time to see the animals and still had time to sit down 10 minutes earlier than our PS time. Have fun.
