Bolt still greeting people in the parks?

Hey guys. I haven't been to Disneyland in a good four years now, not since High School Grad Night (probably the coolest night of my life, waiting less than five minutes to get on the coasters and stuff), so I'm not very up to date on the newest attractions and character greetings. And honestly, I've never been much for meeting characters, whether they be casual hellos or posing for photos or getting autographs. I was always morbidly afraid of the characters, actually, and until I was 12 I would start crying and screaming to get away whenever one came into view. Funny how much I've changed over the years.

Anyway, I saw the movie Bolt last year, and by God I was blown away by it. Sure the plot and some dialog was cliche, but this movie did it for me. I laughed, I cried, I loved every last bit of it, the characters, the music, all of it. So I'm a pretty big fan of Bolt, and especially Mittens.

Well I have plans for a Disneyland trip this year, and this is something I really want to do. I know Bolt and friends we're doing a Meet and Greet in the animation studio up until early last year. Are they still doing studio meet and greets? Do they ever show their faces out in the open parks? Is there any chance at all of catching them for a photo or an autograph, or even just a hug or a handshake?

I'd appreciate if anyone can shed any light on this. :3

I love Mittens especially too. :lovestruc I was surprised at what a great movie that was! (I had it on DVD, lent it out, and haven't gotten it back...meaning to buy a new copy...)

I'm not sure, but I thought Bolt had been at Hollywood Studios? I'm not certain he ever did Meet and Greets at DCA. :( I hope I'm wrong though!

If you like pressed pennies, they DO have a set of Bolt, Mittens, and Rhino in the Main Street Arcade, which I found to be a pleasant surprise. The Mittens one is really cute. I have one in my wallet and every time I'm in there I end up pressing another one. Hoarder? Me? :rolleyes1

I also recall some super-cute Bolt plushies in World of Disney but I could be remembering wrong, and I think they have those at the Disney Store too.

I love Bolt too! I love that they touched on the subject of abandonment and declawing. That is very good of Disney. Thanks for the info on the pressed pennies!

Bolt was at WDW, not sure if it was Hollywood Studios. I only ever saw him in the Pre-Parade, I can not remember a Meet and Greet at all at DLR or DCA.

The characters from Bolt were in a Pre-Parade at the Disneyland Resort around the time the movie was released in theatres in the United States.

Unfortunately, they aren't doing any (organised) meet and greets at any domestic Disney Parks location at the moment.

Argh, oh well. I'll just have to hope that I'm in the right place and the right time then. Maybe I can pick up some Bolt merchandise the next time I'm at DLR, at least.

To those of you who were around at the time to get a photo with him, so lucky. ;_;

Completely OT, but I can't believe you only had 5 minute lines during Grad Nite. When I went, the waits were HOURS long. The line for Space Mountain was completely out the building and into the walkway. I think it was 3 hours. I was CRAZY, and I have always regretted going. I rode 2 rides all night. Yes, it was back in 1992, but still...........

Well I'm not sure how many other schools attended, but there were fewer than 300 students I believe. But we didn't get access to any of the rides until Midnight, so it was an hour wait on Main Street (being forced to listen to Simple Plan, which I actually don't mind, but meh). And unfortunately, Pirates of the Carribean and It's A Small World were both closed.

It was almost five years ago so I don't remember it all that much, other than it was a good time.
