BOGO Annual Pass Deal

Sorry probably a crazy question but I can't reach anyone in the Sea World ticket office to answer. I was going to purchase the BOGO annual pass sea world/aquatica. I noticed it says 10plus when I selected it is this the age requirement ? Would it mean if I purchased as the adult my 8yr old could not be the recipient of the free ticket ? Also the ticket activation is from the date of first use and not the date I purchase correct ?

I finally reached a customer service rep. She stated the annual passes are only good off one year from date of purchase so if I purchased today only good for one year from today? Is this correct? I thought it was the date of first use? So confused

I actually posted the question on the sea world Facebook page and a sea world rep replied that the APs expire one year after first use. So I think I am safe purchasing them.

does anyone know can you apply the bogo annual pass to an upgrade such as to a 2 year pass or to include busch gardens? will you get full ticket value or only half since it was bogo?
