BOG with 2 different reservations and online ordering

So I finally got a party of 5 for lunch and my husband has a party of 1 to give us the 6 we need. We have the exact same entrance time but on different experience accounts. Last time I ate there my online order wasn't on the Disney experience account linked to my magicbands so they had to reorder everything. The party of 5 is on the account linked to the magicbands. The single reservation isn't.

Can I just preorder an extra meal for the reservation of 5 and my husband just needs his reservation to get in and then bypass everything and come and sit with us?

Anyone have any experience with this?

That's what we did in August (we had a 5 and 1 also) - we pre-ordered all the food on the reservation for 5, and all 6 went in together. They scanned one band and we all sat down, then they brought us our food.
