Is it true they give paper fast passes for standby line, or is there no standby line? Hearing mixed results. Going next week, should that be my first stop at rope drop to try and get a paper fast pass to come back later?

My mother-in-law was at MK on Monday and was able to stand in line to wait for a table.

Also, I've seen at least 2 recent blogs post pictures of the paper "Fastpasses".

However, I do not know if the Fastpasses were being given out when my MIL was there and vice versa.

Just the fact that we are discussing FastPasses and standby lines for having lunch makes me laugh. :lmao:

On second thought, it makes me cry.

It is crazy isn't it!?!?! I am waiting on them to start restroom fastpasses :sad2:

I was there on October 23 and saw a cm talking to a couple and saying she had 2 tickets for 1:35-1:50. It was around 12:20, the couple wasn't too happy because they wanted to get in immediately.

As I was walking out of Be Our Guest today from completing my lunch on Fastpass, cast members were outside soliciting people to try to come in to eat. The dining room was only two thirds full and there was no one in line. It has been really great the last couple of days. Today I rode 13 rides before 1:30....good rides. The other night my daughter and I were able to ride splash Mountain seven times in a row, walk on.

This is music to my ears! My DD and her family leave in 10 days and she is hoping crowds will be low as her DH is not happy about all the pre scheduling of ride times and meals (and they are travelling with a baby, who has his own schedule;)). DGrD3 was hoping to eat lunch here, but they are not eligible for FP+. I will tell them to walk by and see if they can get in SB.

Thats is great! Im pretty sure it's because Halloween is over and Christmas starts next week. (at Disney) I'm always looking for a time to go with low low crowds. Im willing to sacrifice seeing any holiday decorations for short waits.

Even with the sign saying there are are no lunch times available, it may help to get there early and wait around a bit. We had a FP last week for 10:50 - 11:20. There was already a board out front saying lunch was sold-out and cast members were telling folks no times were available. By the time we were leaving from lunch, I saw CMs handing out some paper FP lunch return cards ... after they had said they weren't available about 45 minutes before.

I think they're constantly assessing the lunch capacity and will bring out some FP cards if things aren't too crowded inside.
