BOG sharing?

Wondering if all guests at BOG are required to order the $62 meal. Was hoping our party of 4 could share 3 meals and save $$ since it’s the ambiance I’m interested in, not the food.

I hate prefixed meals. I love BOG but I won’t go back until if/when it changes back to À la carte. I am not very hopeful it will switch back since It still books up and they are probably making twice the amount of profit. I can’t justify $35 on a meal my toddler won’t eat.

Dinner's been prix fixe for a few years now, even pre-Covid. With lunch selling as well as it is, though, I don't see that going back to quick service. Maybe they'll do the quick service breakfast again at some point, though.

People actually did this? I’d be embarrassed for myself if I took up a servers table doing this.
This type of sharing was by no means the norm, and......Back then, breakfast and lunch were quick service, so there wasn’t tipping, thus “taking up a server’s table” was not a concern.

I do think it was pretty unfair to take ADRs away from people who legitimately wanted to eat there though.
Agree--and that was the issue. People would reserve a table, split a cupcake, and then people that genuinely wanted breakfast or lunch couldn't get in.
It was my favorite QS when it was a QS lunch. We found it to be affordable (by Disney standards), but also a nice place to have lunch without paying inflated prices for more food than we could eat. We usually ordered a lunch for each of us, plus splurged for those awesome cupcakes.

Here's the real reason it's not coming back as QS.
Likely so, unfortunately. And it was very popular. The first time we went, it was fairly new. They experimented with different ways (fast pass, reservations) before our first trip. When we got there, the CM at the counter recommended how to get in as a walk-up. We ate an early lunch that day.

The second time, we made a lunch reservation.

We may or may not go again. I really like the castle, but there are other places we want to try also.

Glad we went 1-2 times per trip before it changed to $75+ each just to get in the door... even for lunch. That’s the only way to get inside now.

$62 with roughly $5 tax and $10-$12 tip is really closer to $80 for guests over 9yo. Not even including a glass of wine or that $19 souvenir kid’s cup lol.

Good grief Charlie Brown. We’ll forever fondly remember all the lovely breakfasts and lunches using a QS credit. 2 TS credits for lunch is cuckoo!

Eta- guess that’s the point tho. Plenty of people who will pay that much because they’ve never been inside yet had a hard time getting reservations because it was so popular.
