We have a lunch BOG due to magic bands . We haven't been able to get a dinner one yet. I understand its just beast there not belle since she's at Maurice's doing the enchanted tales.

So is it worth checking and rechecking to get an ADR for a dinner? Is it that much more special or is lunch enough for this visit?

When my friend went the c'ms told her people enjoyed their lunches and were canceling dinners because they felt they didn't need to a dinner , just came back again for lunch. This is how she got a last minute res.

Opinions by people who've done dinner there- will we be missing anything?

That is really going to depend on your own tastes and if the dinner menu appeals to you. Dinner is also full service and much more calm and less rushed than lunch.

I have done both and enjoyed both. I am doing each in my upcoming trips!

But it is your likes/dislikes as what is served at vs. dinner that should really make the decision for you. :thumbsup2

It really depends on why you want to dine there. We've been there for lunch and dinner and liked lunch more. For both meals you'll be able to walk around and see all the rooms so if you're mainly curious about what it looks like inside lunch will be fine.

Unlike the typical DW counter service, at BOG lunch will be brought to you by a server on the carts that are used for the desserts at dinner, and it is served on real dishes and silverware. Only drinks are in paper cups. You get your own silver, napkins and straws and fill your own drinks. Also, at lunch you are usually able to choose your own table whereas at dinner the CMs seat you.

As far as ambiance, the main ballroom is beautiful, but so large it feels more like a large CS seating area. Also, because of the sheer number of people dining, our server was fast and highly efficient. Dinner was definitely not a meal to linger over and we definitely felt they were trying to turn tables quickly.

The main differences between lunch and dinner:
-Menu: Entrees are different and dinner has more apps, but the 2 soups and desserts are identical.
-Photo op with the Beast after you eat only at dinner.
-Beer and wine are available only at dinner.

I am faced with the same dilemma. I have BOG ADR for dinner on the 16th at 7pm. I also got a FP+ for lunch on the same day. The other day we go to MK, we have CRT at 10am and can not get a late FP+ for lunch that day. Not sure if we should do both. And if we do one, which one?!?!

I wouldn't do both in the same day. Unless meeting the Beast or drinking wine/beer in MK is important to you, I'd just keep the lunch FP+ and skip dinner.
