My oldest DD has told me she really wants to eat at BOG on our stay during May-great, we do not have a ADR and I recognize my chances of snagging one are slim to none. Any suggestions on what may be the most successful? Lunch vs. breakfast vs. dinner? what party size (we are 7, but would be fine with only 2 going so she gets the experience). I remember there used to be a service that would alert you of reservations but it was shut down-any other strategies I can try? I will try walking up as well and hoping for something, but if there is any chance would love to snag an ADR for her. She was Lumiere in musical theatre just a few weeks ago and is now obsessed with the new movie. Guess I should have seen it coming lol!

Lunch has the highest capacity, so I'd focus efforts there. You can try to get multiple ADRs within 5-10 minutes of each other for your whole party.

Touring plans has a free ADR finder on their website. It will send you a text as soon as a reservation becomes available that meets your parameters. It works great! It will definitely be easier to snag a res for 2 than 7, but don't give up. People cancel all the time!

Except when it sends the test at 2:37am. LOL. Missed that one big time.

I've had luck fro breakfast for looking for parties of 1 and piecing it together. The last time i was there I was able to get a party of 1 for 8:10am....then for one later on for 8:15am. I doubt this would work for your whole party, but might be able to get a few in

We often get a lunch on the day by looking early in the morning. I get at least one a trip this way :yay:

When I went there it was only a month out. I just kept refreshing the page all day long. Was able to get a dinner at around midnight one night. People drop reservations all the time, but it can be a bit of luck to find one. Best time to look is days leading up. People have to drop a reservation a day out so they aren't charged. Play around with the party size, that might help too.

thanks for the great advice. I have put in two requests at touring plans and will just keep trying. The things we do for kids!

We just went for dinner in November with our family of 6. Got up at 6am on our first ADR day and got nothing. Finally close to the night got an 8:30. Later than we wanted but we got it. My daughters did lunch and preferred dinner because it's table service and you meet the beast for a photo shoot at the end.

I have a few lunch reservations for a party of 8 in May that I will release once we get our dates hammered out (i.e. Disney updates the hours). Hopefully that will be soon!

I second the thought on continuing to refresh the feed. We did a last minute trip last may and wanted to go to bog and that's how I got our reservation. I am literally on hold as I type this for a 180 day out reservation for bog. I was online at 6:01 am and told there was no available reservations. 180 days. Ridiculous!!!

I just spoke to an agent, and was told that on property guests can book out an additional 10 days earlier which I did not realize and would have done had I realized that. So there's absolutely no availability even 180 days out for any meal the entire day Ridiculous. Honestly. Just ridiculous

That is correct. Onsite guests can book at 180 days for the length of their stay, up to 10 days. Whenever I try for BOG I always put it at the end of my trip to have better odds. But staying off site it is very difficult.

You can't book 10 days earlier. You can book for the first 10 days of your trip beginning 180 days from the first day.

I'm skeptical that the entire restaurant is sold out for the entire day. I think there may be some times that aren't loaded yet. I got a BOG lunch for my trip and even checked back later that day and the next day to see if there were still lunch times available and there were. I'd keep checking if I were you. If you are still unsuccessful, follow the cancellation thread for the month you are going. I once got a dinner reservation 2 weeks out from my trip from a Dis-er who was dropping one.

One other possibility is that people are anticipating free dining being offered and booking meals based on that assumption. If the promotion doesn't come (or doesn't come for those particular dates), there will likely be a lot of cancellations.

Agreed. I went on a spur of the moment trip last year and just kept refreshing and was able to get a reservation for BOG and Cali Grill just before fireworks! It just took perseverance. I was just super frustrated that at 6:01 am, 180 days out I was told there was no bookings.

I leave for a trip this weekend that I didn't book until 19 days out.

I still managed to find BOG breakfast and dinner reservations. Not pre-park open, but breakfast, and not our ideal dinner time (4:20 or 7:55...still hoping for something to open up in between)

(I also found CRT breakfasts, lunches, and dinners - including an 8:15 pre park open - a CG brunch, Chef Mickey's, Hoop-Dee-Doo, 1900 Park Fare dinner...TP reservation finder, and going online and checking several times a day worked wonders.)

maybe i will be lucky and snag one of yours-we are there may 14-26.

thanks for all the great advice-I will keep trying.

Don't be discouraged, just be persistent! I have ended up with everything i wanted for the last 3 trips and thats even with a group of 12! Our upcoming trip was booked last month and as of yesterday, with the help of Touring Plans I got our last one on our wish list! (this list includes, CRT dinner and BOG prior to rope drop bfast!) Sometimes it didnt happen until a week before the trip, but I got em! TP is great too! Very helpful! Im sure you will get it! :)
