My niece is going with her BF's family and having never done QS here, I am not sure of the procedure (to let her know, LOL).

I know that you can pre-order your breakfast meals.
The next step is let the hostess know you've pre-ordered when you check in?
Do you pay at a kiosk before sitting down? Or do you pay the server when they bring your food to you?

There's a pre-order line. You pay at the kiosk or with the CM BEFORE you sit down.

You do still need an ADR. You can't just walk up and eat, and you can't pre-order without an ADR.

When you check in, they can see wether you've pre-ordered or not & will direct you to the preorder line or the line with the ordering kiosks. They will give you an electronic rose so that the servers will be able to find you later. If pre-ordering, The cashier for the pre-order line will accept your payment & activate your rose. You then seat yourself wherever you prefer, place the rose on your table, fill your drinks at the self service drink area...then the servers will find you via the rose and bring your food. You are then free to leave when finished.

If you have a magic band, you won't need a rose. They'll find you using the band instead. I was skeptical but it worked for us; they found us just few minutes after we sat down.

Thanks so much. I've only ever done dinner there so this is something completely new for me. Luckily my niece scored an 8:05 ADR for her trip.

For me it was a complete cluster mess at BOG. My experience was for lunch but is one I will never do again. We pre-ordered and when we got there we checked in and was sent into a line. When we got to the front greeter we were told to stand aside so that we could pay for our food. We kept watching droves of people sent to terminals to order their food and then pay for it. The greeter kept telling us to wait here until she sent us to pay. We stood around for 15 minutes before I finally told her I am not standing here one more minute, either get me a manager or send me to a register. For me, while the decor and theme was nice, it is not worth the average quality of the food or the long and unbelievable wait we had to pay for our pre-order; a one and done for me. And I couldn't even imagine paying the price for breakfast. :scared1:

Dinner (which I have scheduled for October) sounds much more civilized. I hope that my niece and her guests don't have the same cluster mess when they go next month. The bkfst pricing is crazy but they will be splitting those meals so hopefully it shouldn't be too bad.

You're definitely right that the dinner is much more civilized. I've done all 3 meals at BoG at dinner is by far the best. I'd much rather have sit down for all three meals there, but I understand why they have QS too. I'm sure your niece will enjoy her meal there- I thought Bfast was a little less crazy than lunch. Hope she has fun!
