BOG preorder timing

If I don't pre-order lunch at BOG, how much longer is it going to take? We have one dining reservation and several dining plans, and I've read that they won't split the bill between them. So I think we will have to skip pre-ordering to make it easier. We are going in mid-September.

When I went there last Monday the 8th at 11am on a Monday, the waiting-to-order line was to the bridge. I would guess a good 15-20 minutes. I walked right in and got seated in 5 minutes with pre-ordering. Food came 5-10 minutes later. Highly recommend pre-order if you can.

As for not able to split the bill, I don't know why not.. The CM has the same terminal as others. You still need to scan your MB to apply for the credit. I think CM must has the ability to charge your party accordingly.

We were not able to split the bill when we pre-ordered in June. We knew we probably wouldn't be able to but thought we'd ask anyway. Two people in our group were on a dining plan and the rest of us weren't. The CM said that if you pre-order, they can't split the bill between the dining plan and cash/credit card. I will say that things were very disorganized at the check-in areas of BOG that day and it seemed like the CM's working the kiosks and registers were all inexperienced so maybe if someone asks on a different day, they might get a different answer. Everything I had read beforehand indicated that all pre-ordered meals had to be paid for by one source.

OP, we saved about 10-15 minutes (from what I could tell) by pre-ordering. It really just depends how many people are in the line to place their order at the kiosks. Even if you pre-order, your order isn't sent to the kitchen until you get to the kiosk and pay so you won't really get your food any faster by pre-ordering. You save time by being in a shorter line when confirming your order and paying. If you're not in a hurry and don't mind waiting a little while to place your order, then go ahead and wait until you get there to do it. You can still look at the menu ahead of time and know exactly what you want so that when you get to the kiosk you're ready to go. We saw a family of 4 taking at least 5 minutes to place their order when we were there. It was obvious that none of them had looked at a menu prior to getting there. None of them could decide what they wanted to eat.
