We had a FP+ for a lunch at BOG last week, we were asked if we preordered our meal, we did not. So we were put in line just pased the podium while everybody who bad pre ordered went straight in.
We had one last year also, did not pre ordered and did not stay on the bridge. Did something changed, when I asked the CM he told me that go be abld fo pre order you need to receive a email invitation. :confused3

Did you do the FP online 27 days prior to going or was it a FP given to you? So, the answer is as of this month for sure, if you have a reservation on site you can book your FP+ for BOG 27 days before you dine. When making the online reservation, you get the option of just the FP or preordering your meal. It gives you a 30 minute range to come. Obviously, if you make your selections on line, you do not have to wait for the kiosks in BOG to order, therefore, your food is already in their system and you just have to go in and wait until your MB allows them to find you and deliver your food.

I am aware that they are handing out some paper FP and those would also require a person to have to wait to get through the ordering process on the kiosks.

Hope that helps

PS. You don't necessarily need an invitation via e-mail. You just have to make sure you call disney to get your 12 digit reservation number (not the one you normally see on all of your paperwork) and then 27 days before the day you want to eat, starting at 2a.m., you can get on the Beourguest fast pass website, log in using that number and make your FP.

I did it online 27 days prior our trip. I did not notice that itsaid that if preorder you go staight in and if not you stay on tne bridge for 30 min.
Next trip we will definitly preorder. ;)

Thanks to the boards, I was able to pre-order with my dietary needs in mind using the filters. Now we should save time when we go to BOG! Gotta love the DIS!

Trust me the preorder people do not go straight in. We got in the door slightly faster, but there was still ten minutes on the bridge, fifteen by the knights waiting to go in to "confirm" the order and then eight minutes at the podium to confirm and pay.

All that followed by a six minute table search and then a twenty minute wait for the food I ordered 27 days earlier.

So while preordering helps, it is still a slow painful process

When we preordered and checked pay with dining plan, we were taken straight in. When we did not have the dining plan but had also preordered, we still had to go through the ordering kiosks to confirm and pay because even though we had set up a pin for room charging it was not put on the magic band. CM mistake or system drop? We never knew but had to use reg credit card to pay.
