BOG not adhering to reservation times?

I've seen 2 different posts about BOG letting people in to eat regardless of their reservation time during the 8-9am pre-park opening. Has anyone else experienced this? This concerns me as I have a 8am reservation time in May.

We've gone twice - once with an 8:15 and once with a 8:25 and both times we were let in the park by around 7:50 (with a 9am opening) and went right to the restaurant and were let in the line immediately. We had pre-ordered both times so not sure if that makes a difference but were sent right to a cashier in the entrance rather than to the kiosk line. But yes, they didn't seem to care from what I saw. But I don't think it would affect you greatly. Both times we were done with our food by 8:30 or so with plenty of time to get in line for RD to 7DMT (actually DH went off and did some pin trading first!). They do really move you through quickly in the morning.

Thank you. You totally understood my concern on time. I was excited about getting the 8am to have plenty of time to eat and be outside for rope drop. Glad to hear. It's just kind of funny to me because last time I was there for lunch I arrived 10 minutes early and they wouldn't let me go in!
