We have never eaten at BOG and are considering having lunch there. If you don't have reservations, can you still eat there? Where do you sit? Can you tour all rooms? I checked for reservations and it's booked, so I would check for them a day in advance. I'm assuming the ambiance is the main draw, and from what I've seen, it looks very nice, but I'm unsure if you can walk up and get lunch and a seat in there.

Keep trying for a reservation. That’s your best option for sure. Yes, once you secure a table, you are allowed to check out all the rooms.

Your best bet is to keep checking for canceled reservations. There are plenty of people who unfortunately hoard reservations and won't cancel until the last minute, so keep watching. You might get lucky and be able to walk up or wait, but in my experience I have seen so many people turned away because they just can't accommodate. So if you really want to eat there get that reservation.

The main draw is the ambiance. It is a neat experience and the food is good for a quick service. But if you can't get in, it is not the experience of a lifetime or anything like that.

Its possible but not probable to be a walk up.
Look for an ADR daily even multiple times per day between now and then and also the day of.
If you get in you sit where you want.
Yes you can walk in all 3 rooms.
Yes the draw is more the atmosphere and feeling like you are in Beast's castle more so than the food but I will say I do love the food and I have gone for lunch 10 times with my 11th time booked for July.
I personally don't care about going for breakfast but if you really want to go and have it be quick service then also look for a breakfast ADR.

I'd keep checking if you want to eat there. I've been able to get ADRs on the day of, so you never know. You can check in when you want to eat and see if they'll seat you, but don't get your hopes up. I have seen many people turned away when they haven't had an ADR.
You can tour the rooms, the West Wing still gets a lot of visitors when we eat in there.

I don’t see it mentioned already, so I’ll throw out a recommendation for Touring Plans’ free reservation finder service. Enter your details and they will text/email you if a reservation opens up for your date. I’ve used it for most of the hard to get reservations (including multiple times for BOG breakfast and lunch) and so far they’ve all come through eventually. (Oddly the one I’m still waiting on is a late breakfast at CP, but I’m fairly sure it will come through in the end).
