BOG Lunch Questions

First off, do they ever allow walk-ups? We have a reservation for one, and last time found out we could have just walked in later in the afternoon.

Also, if we are on the Quick Service plan, can you sub a drink or a desert for a bowl of soup? Or could there be two substitutions so we get two bowls?

I can't answer your second question about the QS plan, but I can tell you that during our visit in Early December, they were not taking walk-ups at BOG for either lunch or dinner. So glad we had made an ADR for lunch there!

In general, I would not count on walking up at any Disney restaurant. It can happen, but just as often a restaurant that was accepting walk ups one day will be turning them away the next. For any restaurant that you know you want to eat at it is better to make a reservation.

If you have a reservation for one person and want to know if the other(s) in your group can walk up - there's no way of knowing so instead try looking for an additional reservation for the rest of your party for the same time. At lunch BOG is a QS so you will choose your own table so even if you have separate reservations for a party of one and a second reservation for a different size party you can find a table for all of you.

As far as substitutions others have posted that they were able to sub for soup at lunch.

There's absolutely no problem with subbing drinks and/or desserts with a soup. We did this in January and it was great.
For two QS credits we got two entrees, two soups, one drink and one dessert.
