I have a reservation for 4 but just got a face book message from my aunt that she and my grandmother will not be able to attend. That leaves me and my husband at a 4 top. Now I have looked at there isn’t an open reservation for 2 for the entire time we are there but I kind of feel guilty taking up two extra BOG seats that are so rare. I would love to pay it forward somehow, any ideas? Do you think anyone; another couple maybe would want to join us or is that too strange? I am sure the French onion soup will wash way any guilt of sitting in one of the most packed restaurants with two empty chairs but still.

Call Disney dining and explain the situation to them. They may be able to move you to smaller table.

You could always post your date and time, and then meet someone from the DIS boards who would like the date and time, and have dinner with 2 new friends.:goodvibes. Just have them meet you there.

I love this idea! I booked an IllumiNations Cruise this past May for my friend and me, and all DIS people signed on to fill the boat. It was really fun meeting them all.

If it helps, I don't recall there being any tables specifically for 2 there, I know when we last went, a lot of couples were sitting at 4-tops. By the way, we went as Walk-ins at Dinner and only waited about 25 minutes for what was quoted as a 45 minute wait.

There are 2 tops (we were seated next to one) so you might be seated at a 2 top and your 4 top would go to the next party checking in that needs a 4 top. Disney's system is not that there is a specific table reserved for you. Rather, when you check in at the podium you are put in the queue for the size table that will fit your group. If it's your turn and a table for 2 comes up, that's where you'll be seated. However, since there are usually more 4 tops, when it's your turn you might be seated at a table for 4.

You could call Disney Dining and reduce the number on your reservation, but be very sure that the CM understands you are only modifying the number of guests and that you want to keep your res. Some CMs will try to cancel your res for 4 and book a new one for 2. Unfortunately, with something as popular as BOG, the moment your res for 4 goes back into the system someone will snap it up and you'll be without a res.

We had a 4-top when DH & I were there in May. From what I've heard, there aren't a lot of 2-tops at BOG.
