I'm reading so many conflicting reports! Some are saying that they've been turned away from BOG for lunch if they cannot prove that they received an email invitation to book a FP+, while other people are saying that it is still working the same way it has for the last few months.

Can someone who has been turned away for not having an email invitation share their experience? I've been referring people to the fast pass website, but now I think I shouldn't......

Thanks for the clarification!! :thumbsup2

we used the BOG FP+ last October and were not invited. I knew that I really wasn't supposed to be using it. I was in the area near BOG when they first opened the building where you check and stopped by to verify that the had your ressies and we were on the list. If you made the FP+ without an invite, perhaps checking before your time so you can plan accordingly? I did have the FP+s (me and sis family) printed out just in case but they did not ask.

Kind of stinks that Disney is turning people away when they have not bothered to shut down use of the link to anyone who knew about it.

Thanks for the link to that other thread. If that person had a screen shot of the reservation AND printed out the FP+ confirmation page (fast pas window and food order), do you think it would have still worked?

I just called the Disney Travel Company at 407-939-5277 & they said

"The website is accurate HOWEVER you are randomly chosen to participate by getting an email invitation as early as a week & half before your trip & on the invitation you will have a special 12 number that is different from 12 reservation number. Your 12 reservation will bring up your information with dates to select, BUT it may not work or work & it's not spouse to work. If you are making FP+ reservations without the invitation & you show up & they won't let you in even if you bring the print out showing the times you still were not invited to join & you still have not right to us the FP+. This is only in early TESTING stage like when they first started the FP+ not everyone is getting one because they need to workout the kinks. It will in future after the testing will be available for everyone if all goes well. People using the system without the invite are putting the testing phase at risk for error. They are aware people are doing this & they are going to start asking for the invites more often."

This is what I was told today so you get a FP+ without the reservation just know they can turn you away.

Thanks for posting your findings TX Southern Belle.

I was going to use this for our July trip but not anymore. I'll wait and see if we get an invite. I wouldn't want our family to feel embarrassed or disappointed.

That's my big question too. I know there's one report of someone being turned away but it seems everyone else who's FP+ ressie didn't "show up" BUT they had a screen shot or other proof it existed, were able to get it still. Very buggy indeed!!

What I'm also curious about is, those folks that DID get an invitation a week or day before, were there any spots left or were those taken by the "cheaters" (like me)?? From what I understand, they opened April ressies mid-March... so if I am arriving the last week in April and get a coveted "invite" the day I arrive, wouldn't all the spots be gone already?
