BOG FP dinner question

Probably a dumb question, but here goes...

We know someone who is willing to give up their FP's for dinner for us. However, we are not staying on Disney property. Will we be able to transfer their reservations onto our MDE, can we use their names and reservation number, or are we totally out of luck?

Are you talking about a reservation for dinner? Or a FP reservation for lunch? Either way I don't see how they could pass it to you. I think your have more luck just pretending to be them when you check in.

I've given ADR's that we were going to cancel to a friend. I gave them a printed copy of the confirmation and they just showed up with that. It worked fine.

This was pre-credit card confirmation though. I would still do it now but be very clear about the fact that my CC was attached and would be charged if they didn't show up or cancel on time.
